"Much more than a complete siding job. Pergo flooring throughout the entire house, replacing 26 year old carpet. We had a new porch build with a roof fence built, another porch refurbished, inside work. After seeing the skill level we added more work we wanted to complete like tree removal, new security light, porch ceiling fan etc…we love our new oasis. Would recommend for any job big or small! "

"Mold in our Home: Blatant negligence by Closets by Design Installer. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT MOLD IN YOUR HOME ! The installer for Closets by Design while installing the kitchen pantry tip in screw for fall protection on top of the pantry hit the sewer pipe that caused sewage water to leak near our food containers and caused Mold all around the walls and Insulation with sewage water leaking around it. The pictures show all the damage done to our home our walls by the Gross Negligence of Closets by Design Installers. The Installer DID NOT have or used any STUD Finder or any other tools to avoid hitting the sewer pipe during the installation thus clearly showing that Closets by Design does NOT care about the destroying customers homes or have the skilled or professional installers or they provide the, with needed tools or compensation to do a professional installation. They rush through jobs and these mistakes are made and customers like us are left to suffer it’s Mold inside our home as a direct result of their negligence. See the pictures for all the damage and Mold caused by Closets by Design and absolutely do not hire these crooks who pretend to be experts in Closets design and Installation while all they do is destroy customers homes and their health with Mold in their homes and walls by hitting their “Sewer pipes “. Think about this dirty sewage water was near our food storage and within 6 feet of our stove in the kitchen. Closets by Design doesn’t care about it and it would happen to you because their installers do not have the tools or the expertise and do not care if they pierce your pipe and flood the walls and home or in our case the sewer pipe and cause mold in our home. These permits cost between $1,200 and $2,000, ensuring your renovation meets local building codes for safety and structural integrity. Working without proper permits can result in penalties, forced removal of completed work, and complications when selling your home. Your local building department can provide specific information about permit requirements, inspection schedules, and any special considerations for basement renovations in your area.
For basement framing, use pressure-treated lumber for bottom plates (the horizontal boards that contact concrete floors) to prevent moisture damage and rot. Standard kiln-dried lumber is suitable for wall studs and top plates that don't directly contact concrete surfaces. The most common lumber dimension for basement wall framing is two-by-four, though some situations may call for two-by-six lumber to accommodate thicker insulation. You can install drywall after framing is complete and inspected, but several important steps should happen first.
