"We are incredibly pleased with ACT Complete Construction. We were worried about cracks in our foundation. They came quickly, accessed the damage and repaired the cracks in a very timely manner. They answered all of our questions and kept us informed. They even answered questions about whether or not repairs were essential, going the extra mile to make us feel safe and assured about our home. I highly recommend this company."

"We had a main water line leak between two houses on our property. We received 4 estimates to replace the pipe. All recommended replacing vs trying to repair the pipe. Advanceds’ estimate wasn't the lowest, there was one lower estimate but we elected to go with them because their technicians (Jason and Taz) were so helpful and so pleasant. We felt we could trust them to do a good job as quoted and do it on time. This job was difficult as the main line lies underground beneath asphalt driveway and lawn. The asphalt and the lawn are separated by a low wooden retaining wall. The plan was to dig a trench straight through from house to house and replace the existing pipe with a new pipe. We would later have to repave the trench which would be roughly 50’ long. In addition, we would probably have to rebuild the older retaining wall. The day of the project the owner of the company, Sam, studied the situation and came up with a different plan. He and his team were able to push the pipe through the sleeve which held the broken pipe!! This prevented any need to dig!! No digging!! No breaking up the asphalt, no need to repave, no need to reseed the lawn, no need to fix the retaining wall!! Done. In a matter of hours. Can you imagine our relief? Our actual invoice was for less than half of what was originally quoted. Sam also saved us a lot of money in future repaving and possibly repairing the short retaining wall costs. Sam is not only very knowledgable but is a man with integrity. My feeling throughout this experience with Advanced is that we were all on the same team. Props as well to Isha who works in the office. Isha patiently answered all of our questions and was helpful all around. All scheduling was quick and punctual and we were kept in the loop through it all. A great team who take pride in their work! We highly recommend Advanced Professional."

"Kevin and his son did a great job. Other competitors said they could be over in a day or two, but Kevin came over that night, after business hours and worked until 8:30 pm to make sure the job was done before they left. I told him what I was previously quoted for the job and he beat that price. My house is 55 years old and in need of some pipe replacement, so when I decide to get that done... I will be calling Global Sewer and Drain Service. Great Job!"

"Installed a sewer back-up preventer valve for me. When they came for the estimate, they noticed that my water pressure valve was rusted and they included that replacement for free. The job was done within 6 hours and the job area was left quite clean barring some dust from cutting up the concrete floor. The workmen were courteous, polite and professional."

"We were in the process of selling out home, and one of the maintenance items was the waste line. J&C responded to our phone call the same day to give us a quote to fix the line. After careful examination the plumber stated that no repair was needed, and provided a written report so stating for the buyer. They did not charge for this service.

"The project was to replace an old leaking stop valve when the water enters the house. I had to call the American Water company to shut off the water to the house. I must say that Hurricane were very responsive and took this project on a very short notice. The plumber Troy replaced the valve and left, I called the water company to turn on the water. Few hours later when the water was turned on, I saw that there's a leak and called Hurrcane to fix it. Troy came back the same day and tried to tighten the connectors but the leak only became worse. When I pointed him to the issue he was pretty arrogant telling me that I knew nothing about plumbing. He left, the water was dripping. So I called the owner Eric and complained. Eric came next day, fixed one leak that and tried to fix the other (where flare compression fitting connects incoming copper pipe with the steel pipe that goes to the water meter) to no avail - the connection is leaking (albeit very slowly - there was a wet spot on the floor at the bottom of the pipe this morning). I spoke to Eric after that and he says that a) its not their fault that the compression fitting had gone bad and b) he will come and will have to redo the flare if I'd like (but they will charge for it). I'm not sure that would trust them to do the work. May be they have overtightened the fitting and ruined it? The guy they sent first wasn't very experienced."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Weehawken, NJ

Sewer line replacement costs range from $50 to $250 per linear foot. Your replacement costs rise or fall based on material quality, installation complexity, and the specialized equipment crews need for excavation. Deeper lines cost more to access, and choosing budget-friendly PVC piping rather than premium copper also shifts the final price.

A sewer sleeve repairs cracked or damaged sections of a sewer pipe without the need for excavation. In this process, technicians insert a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner, saturated with epoxy, to seal defects and restore the pipe’s integrity. This approach protects your yard, trims repair time, and adds years to your sewer system’s life—all while delivering reliable results.

Newer homes use durable PVC and ABS piping that offer smooth interiors and effective clog prevention at an affordable cost. Older homes use materials such as copper, Orangeburg, clay, cast iron, or lead, which require a licensed plumber’s inspection to confirm safety and performance. This clear distinction impacts maintenance and overall system reliability.

Red flags include persistent clogs, recurring sewage backups, and unexplained spikes in utility bills. Strong sulfur odors, bubbling drains, and visible sewage in the yard serve as unmistakable warning signs. These symptoms demand immediate professional inspection and repair to prevent further property damage and health hazards, ensuring the system operates safely.

All sewer line projects require permits because strict sanitary and biohazard regulations mandate regulatory approval. Homeowners must secure permits, incurring a specific permit fee of $200 in addition to contractor costs. A licensed professional or local building department manages the permitting process, ensuring the work complies with all legal requirements before the project begins.

A clogged sewer line is not covered by standard homeowner’s insurance policies because these policies exclude damage from regular wear, tear, and neglect. In cases of accidental damage—such as when tree roots block the line—certain policies provide coverage. Homeowners must review their policy details or consult with their insurance provider to confirm the coverage terms.
