"Mark from Mass Appliance called within a couple of minutes of my request. He arranged an appointment that fit with my schedule and arrived on time. He tried to repair my clothes dryer but the cost of the repair would have been so expensive that it wasn't worth repairing (the dryer was old and had been bought used several years ago). Mark offered me a dryer at a very reasonable cost and returned the next day to install it. As part of the installation, and for the cost he quoted, he also replaced our old vent with a fireproof one (our old one was plastic), hooked up the dryer, made sure it worked, gave me a warranty, and took away the old dryer. All in all, this was an excellent service experience. I am happy with the work and would recommend Mark to anyone needing appliance work or a new or used appliance."

Prep areas with plastic walls to contain dust as best as possible, move appliances, remove existing cabinets and countertops, take down existing drywall to the studs and down to strapping on ceiling , remove existing floor tiles , install new patio door and window, insulate walls, hang drywall, tape and mud or plaster walls and ceiling, create new openings in wall between kitchen and front room and wall at foot of stairs, prime ceiling and walls, install new cabinets, install new window and door trim,
install new tile floor, install tile backsplash, remove all debris, be on site when inspector comes to sign off on different phases of job.

Jan 28, 2016: We wanted vanities for 2 bathrooms and base and upper cabinets for a kitchen expansion. We were hoping to take advantage of free design services from Kitchen Design Center of Framingham (KCOF).

The cabinets did not meet our expectations. Instead of getting bathroom vanities we received kitchen cabinets for the bathrooms, meaning the vanities were significantly deeper than normal bath vanities. We provided the cabinet designer with specs for our bath sinks but the designer neglected to check to see if the sink would fit into the cabinet that they designed. After the marble counter was already produced we found out that the sink wouldn't fit and the solution proposed by Kitchen Design Center of Framingham was to cut down the sides of the cabinet and drawer boxes significantly. This solution was unacceptable and would void our warranty. Instead we found a replacement sink which would fit the cabinet and replaced the marble counter. Kitchen Design Center of Framingham refused to take any responsibility for their design error. Reluctantly, Kitchen Design Center of Framingham agreed to split the cost of the replacement marble counter, but insisted that these sorts of design issues happen all the time - yikes! In reality, we paid $580 for "free" design services.

The kitchen cabinets installation was also disappointing. None of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts line up as they should. The installers insisted that the cabinets were installed in the best possible way and said that it isn't possible to align the doors and drawer fronts, blaming the situation on the Wood Mode cabinets. During the design process we weren't notified that this would be the case. In fact, we don't believe that Wood Mode would make cabinets which didn't allow alignment of doors and drawer fronts. In fact, the entire rest of our kitchen is Wood Mode cabinets which align very nicely.

March 16, 2016: Following our initial review, Dave Bartlett at KCOF contacted us to see what could be done to rectify the situation. He agreed to pay the remaining balance ($580) for the marble countertop that wasn't used due to the sink change. He also agreed to come to the house and look at the door and drawer alignment issues. During his visit, he identified 2 issues and arranged to have these issues addressed. As a result, the alignment on the drawer and cabinet doors is improved.

"This was a pretty standard job to undertake according to our friend who is a contractor.  No structural changes or relocating of plumbing lines or windows, etc. were necessary.   They gutted the room and put it back together with new tile, fixtures, lighting and paint.  The old materials were removed promptly.  United's quote was the highest of the 3 we received, but we were very impressed with Alessandro from our first interaction with him, and happy that they could start the job within a couple of weeks.  We purchased all the fixtures and materials needed for the project right after we signed the contract, so they were on site when we got the call from Alessandro notifying us that they were ready to start.  We were told the job would be completed in 3 weeks, and it was.  There were only a few small issues during the project (as there always are), but Alessandro was excellent about responding and making sure that we were satisfied.  Our old 1963 bathroom is now a beautiful 2014 bathroom!  We are very happy with the workmanship and would definitely use this company again."
