Boxford Chimney Sweep - to run a new flue liner and install a new stainless steel chimney cap We hired J.Griffin Heating & Plumbing to disconnect an ancient "snowman-style" oil-fueled steam boiler with attached "instant" water heater, and replace it with a gas boiler & free-standing gas water heater. Fast. Efficient. Clean. Pleasant & willing to answer all of our questions. All 3 companies provided very high quality experiences! I would hire any/all of them again. "In late June of 2023, Neo and his apprentice replaced our water heater. Neo did charge slightly more than Google reported as the average price in our geographic area. However, "you get what you pay for." Neo was diligent, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Neo responded promptly to all telephone calls and text messages. There was no drama with Neo. Neo was a consummate professional. We would definitely recommend S&S Piping and Heat. When we experienced a runaway faucet and a broken shut-off valve in the spring of 2024, Neo was quick to respond. Our over-engineered faucet required more than the replacement of a simple washer. In a professional manner, Neo repaired the faucet, replaced the valve, and corrected a related water-pressure problem. As usual, Neo offered good, solid communications. "The technician uninstalled an existing dishwasher and installed a replacement. Because of the age of the plumbing, he had to do some unexpected water line replacement and other workarounds. He took the time to explain the problems and do the extra work required, and charged a very reasonable amount for the extra time and effort. "Spoke with Rob via phone, and scheduled a visit. Rob appeared 10 mins early, and telephoned prior. Quickly identified an issue with the automatic water feed not being fed, vs recommending replacement of a working part. Replaced sight glass and flushed system. Replaced the entire water gauge system on secondary system. Cost was reasonable, work performed proficient, parts used seemingly high quality. Rob is very sociable and able to hold a conversation whilst performing work as well. Would highly recommend."
