"Their quote was very fair, their craftsmanship was quite above par, and overall, just a good family business. They were quick to get me a quote which is always nice. I asked all the contractors I wanted quotes from that I wanted to increase my 2.5 ton to a 3 ton and they were the only ones who counted my registers to make sure my house was even capable of handling the extra air, that sealed the deal for me. They know their profession and quite good at it. Left the work area nice and tidy and also worked well with the propane company so I could have some hands off. Highly recommend."

"Best contractors I've ever dealt with. Showed up on time, gave a quick and fair estimate, came back quickly to get the job done. And did I mention they showed up on time? The guys did a great job and completely cleaned up after themselves. My basement was cleaner than before they arrived! Will definitely hire again."

"These guys really knew what they were talking about. I am actually now an employee of the company, so i have seen both sides of this counter and signed up to angies list partially to see what others had to say about the company, in the thinking that Angies List was as informative as the commercials said. But hopefully my opinion will spark some intelligent feedback.     -Daryl,         Newest Member Of The Apple Hill Family"

"This company is fantastic. I was a little unsure if I needed to purchase a warranty to begin with. I am truly glad I did. I called American Home Guard later that week and the technician was there for about an hour. Even though he couldn't fix it we ordered the part and they paid for the whole thing. I am definitely looking forward to renewing next year. You just really don't know what can happen."

FAQs for gas piping projects in West-milton, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
