"Ryan came out right on time. He is so friendly and competent. He fully inspected our very high chimney and came back with some excellent suggestions for how we could save our fireplace and continue to use it with wood or gas, in addition to fixing our leaking chimney. He had a bid to us very soon. We signed and he ordered the specialize cap. As soon as it came in, he scheduled our installation. It just happened to fall on the hottest day of the year. Our old chimney cap had been sealed and resealed many times, so it was hard to get off, but Ryan persevered with a cheerful attitude. Soon it was off and our beautiful new cap was installed. Then he finished repairing and resurfacing our fireplace. The work was immaculately done. When it was over, he informed me that he had reduce our bill below what he bid it because he did not have to spend as much time on our firebox as he had thought. When does this ever happen? What a guy. This is the best experience I have ever had with a contractor (and I am 62 and have owned about a dozen homes)."

I would have like some more interaction with installers and explanation of system/functions of unit as this was our first time owning a pellet insert. They just seemed in a hurry. The install went fine, no issues. They were careful not to make a mess. Would recommend."

"<p>I did not accept their quote because I got a few other opinions on the house and apparently I have a broken footing on the back side of my house that has to be reinforced/repaired and the center of the house needs an extra support to support the beams, like placing in more pillions (jacks) to support the beams for the load of the house.  I did not use them because they missed some big areas and after watching the engineer come out at and survey the area why I was there, thee seemed more through than the one I got from them.  The other engineers measured my whole home to pinpoint the issues.  This company was professional just not what I was looking for.</p> <br />"

The concrete surface had a major crack, the brickwork had numerous cracks, and the brick steps had mortar deterioration. I found Manning Masonry Doctor on Angie's List and called Mr. Manning. "Chamberlin Washington did a fantastic job with a very challenging project.  We needed cracks repaired in our multi-colored faux stone veneer and it took us months to find a company that had any idea how to do the job correctly.  Randy (the president of the company) came out to my house and was great about explaining the best way to tackle the problem and why.  He also returned himself to repair a few cracks with different color samples to make sure we had selected the right colors before starting the job. <br /> Jose and Nelson completed the work and were fantastic from start to finish.  I felt like they treated my house as if it were their own.  They were hard working, proactive and meticulous.  They arrived on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up at the end of each day.  I particularly appreciated their willingness to ensure that I was happy with how everything turned out.  For example, when it was necessary to rebuild individual stone squares, they worked with me to make sure that I liked the final color before putting it on the house.  I also asked them to redo several of the initial cracks - not because they were done poorly, but because they had discovered an even better way to blend in the repairs - and they did so willingly.  Before they left, Jose and Nelson asked me to make sure they had completed everything to my satisfaction.  I missed a few minor things, but Chamberlin Washington was quick to send send a team out after I called.  <br /> I was very impressed with the company's customer service from start to finish and its quality of work.  In fact, the repair of the cracks in the faux stone veneer exceeded our expectations.  I would, without hesitation, recommend Chamberlin Washington and will use them again should the need ever arise. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We have employed Tavis on 3 separate occasions now, and would totally recommend him; his work is exceptional.  Tavis is a perfectionist and this quality reflects in his work.  He is extremely easy to communicate with; I am a creative person who likes to be able to bounces ideas off contractors to see what feedback/guidance they can provide to help carve out your project and reach your final goal.  Tavis worked with me and helped in the design of the project every step of the way and turned our very plain rear garden space into our very own oasis.  He helped solve drainage issues we had, which was the initial reason we started the project.  Tavis is a very hard worker and the quality is in the detail, he learned the trade as a kid from his father and has been doing this for a very long time now. The only down side I would say he is a little pricey, but you also get what you pay for and his work is excellent.   <br /> I can attest to his concrete work also because the first job Tavis completed for us was to pour a concrete base for our backup generator which I think we did in 2011 (if memory serves me right).  He made sure to provide a detail that stopped the generator vibrating up the wall because it was attached to the wall/foundation of the house and the pour was industrial strength concrete.  My husband and I joke all the time about Tavis's work because I swear our house will fall down before any of Tavis's work does, because it is built so well.  He always goes that extra mile, if he thinks something could be a problem in future and by doing a little something extra in the prep work he can prevent it, he will try his best to plan for those events and build it a little deeper or a little stronger to start. <br />"
