"It was very good, they came on time, explained what was wrong. They replaced the sprinkler heads and I think they adjusted one. They worked wonderfully so I have no problem with it."

"Work itself was of very professional quality. We were, and are, extremely pleased with it.
My only caveat: Beware of extra charges!
The young electrician from One Call arrived and asked us what we wanted done. When we told him, he seemed surprised that it was so little, and asked, "What else?" We said we didn't know of anything else. So he looked around our kitchen and suggested that we might also like him to replace the cable to our electic stove.
In retrospect I believe he knew that if he did this, the total work time would be longer than the two hours we had paid for with our Angie's List coupon. However, he did not warn us of this. We thought he meant he could do all the work -- outlets, range hood, lighting fixture, and stove cable -- within the two hours, so we said, "Sure, go ahead."
He did the work we had originally requested, and had just started working on the stove connection when a phone call came from the office advising him that he was over his time limit. He commented to us, rather sheepishly, "They always do that."
By the time he finished working on the stove connection, our bill was $438, in addition to the $99 coupon we had paid for. This was an unpleasant surprise. I thought of complaining, but then I remembered something. Back when we phoned to book our job, the young lady at the desk very rapidly read a statement saying we would be liable for any work beyond the 2 hours we had paid for up front. She read it so fast that it was unintelligible; I had to ask her to repeat it. Then she asked rather rudely if we agreed to this, "because if not this job will be canceled."  Of course I said "Yes," and my response was electronically recorded. So when our bill turned out to be much higher than expected, I realized we had fallen for their ruse.
Bottom line: One Call Electrical did excellent work, but I feel they fooled us into spending much more than we thought we would. The young electrician's embarrassed admission that "they always do that" says to me that they routinely lead their coupon customers down this path. If we had not felt tricked, I would be more likely to call them again and recommend them to friends.

"Excellent pool company. Anthony was very knowledgeable and professional, not pushy at all. He simply gave us our options, we picked the liner we wanted, the new steps, new hand rail and new LED light and the whole project went smooth as explained and as expected. It's been two years since this project was done and everything still looks like the day it was completed. Thank you!"

"Dave Polo has a great online scheduling system, that makes it very easy for see his availabilty and his prices. The price above included a septic tank inspection by BeachStone Septic Corporation that Dave engaged and who were also very professional, very through and a great source of information. Dave was very thorough, we began on the roof and then worked ourselves around the outside of the house. We took notes as he mentioned things and he used his handy recorder to help him with his notes to put into the report. Our house has 3000 sq. ft and I feel confident that he covered much of that area. He was very thorough - looking high and looking low, pointing out the good, the bad and the things for us to improve the condition of the house. His report was about 8-9 pages and very detailed. It was a great source to go back to the sellers and asked for the significant things to be addressed or help us with some $$$."

"I had a water damage to the floor and need to re-install the laminate floor. I found this company, and it was fantastic! I talked with Trimaine, and they are very responsive and professional. The team comes on-time, and very thorough when doing the work. They listen to the customers patiently and address their concerns. The price is very reasonable. You would have the peace of mind for their work. I will definitely recommend the company for any floor work. Thank you!!"

"Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. Very satisfied and have recommended Choice Home Warranty on the Nextdoor app."

"Service guy came as scheduled. Sent his "service" requirements to home base Home base calls back and lists, a very long list of what needs to be done and a very long list of what is not covered and what each item costs. The overall cost was outrageous and they weren't willing to give it to me in writing. Everything I had to pay for was overpriced, of course! They told me my other option would be to purchase my own water heater and they would reimburse me for what there water heater would cost, but no reimbursement for Labor, building permit, or any upgrades required by the local building department. The requirements of the building department were minimal. I went to Home Depot and had them do the installation and saved many hundreds of dollars. Lesson learned, have AHS do simpler repairs that don't require municipal building department approval. Have AHS pay for the equipment, and purchase installation from a trusted local installer."

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Whitehouse, NJ

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
