"David was easy to work with and great about communicating the process, the costs, and the scheduling. He even went so far as to talk to the Gas company about our project and helped save us $2500."

"The plumber answered my initial call and I was able to describe the problem we were having with the guest room shower fixture that only produced very hot water. I sent him a photo of the fixture. He came the next morning and replaced the cartridge, unclogged the drain in the tub, and fixed the stopper that was not closing properly. All of his services were priced reasonably!"

"10 stars from me. The first time I called Hoffmann for a leaking from water main. Dane and Dan fixed it for $400, in two hours. They are the best price in 4 plumbing companies I called. The highest estimate of the 4 was $1800!!! I believe Hoffmann gives fair price and does great job. The 2nd time I called Hoffmann because I DIY replacing shutoff valve under the sink. Dane called me back asked what I was doing and what was the problem. After asking several questions, he finds out what I did wrong. He advised me to cut the pipe and connect the value again. It works fine. I don't know many plumbers give free advices! 5 stars again. I will definitely use Hoffmann in the future. I definitely recommend them to anyone!"

"Curcio has always been very responsive, professional and courteous. We had a leak in ceiling below master bath and felt we needed to replace the toilet in master bath. It was difficult finding a replacement model to fit over baseboard heat and existing plumbing. After some trial and error a suitable replacement was found, but water through ceiling the floor below sadly didn't stop. Finding the source of leak was a real puzzle and involved cutting multiple holes in sheetrock to locate a barely perceptible crack in a horizontal run of pvc pipe in the bathroom wall. The fix in the end was easy, and we greatly appreciated the methodical checking on three levels which included inspection of vent piping through the attic. All was a lot more than we'd hoped to pay, but the price seemed fair for the work performed. Only complaints would be a ruined towel, dirty bathroom, old tank lid left behind and a cracked tile. Not huge but could be a bit more careful and clean up at job's end better. <br />"

"When I contacted Biondi, I was connected with his answering service; I did not get a call back the same day, but when I called again the next day, I was called back promptly. In order to have someone present at home when he came, we had to coordinate schedules, and he gave me his cell phone number so that we could do so. As soon as an inspection was done on his previous job, he came, installed the gas line, and moved the stove back in place by himself (a formidable task, given a 50 year old six-burner model!) He was courteous and professional."

"Very pleased with the professionalism.  Called back to schedule an appointment and answer questions when he said he would.  Came on time.  Showed initiative regarding the brace for the internal pipe.  Also reminded us about coupon which he honored.  Also provided estimate for 90-year-old concrete basement sink replacement which we are considering. <br />"

"The day before, Keith came out to determine the reason for the heating unit failure, and determined that it was a faulty gas valve.  The following day, he came out and replaced the valve, solving the problem.  We also had some issues and questions regarding heating inconsistencies with the other unit, and he was kind enough to check out the entire house and provide some insights.  He was professional, efficient and straightforward.  At no point did I think he didn't know what he was doing or that he was trying to increase the severity merely to get more money.  In fact, I would say that he went out of his way to provide a solution to the immediate problem, without even hinting at suggesting superfluous fixes.  I would use First Source again in a heartbeat, and would certainly recommend their services. <br />"

"They were scheduled to come out for a minor issue but that morning we had a major pipe burst with flooding. they quickly were able to attend to he larger leak and creatively and carefully applied the correct fix(es). Kevin, our plumber, was terrific and we will always call Anthony when we need these services. We have had three interactions with them and it has been terrific, fairly priced and professional."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Whitehouse Station, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
