"I priced a number of companies for asbestos testing of a structure. Kurtis responded promptly and was able to conduct the test within just a couple of days of my call. They followed up with a call to let me know my results as soon as they were ready, the promptly mailed and emailed the final report. Very nice and total pros and the price is among the best in the biz."

"I had used them back in the beginning of the year around my wife's birthday. They had done a small addition to my home and let me tell you, it was great. Sometimes there were delays but because of inspection and material was changing delivery dates. But my wife and I were very stoked when the work started. As well when it was finished, we were pleased with what we wanted done. Now, here we are using them again but this time for my parents. They have a small home in north hills and I am looking to expand it since my sister is coming from Chicago to stay for a year and she can have somewhere to stay. The plans are being checked at the city, have been for 2 months now but we're closer and we're getting ready to start our second project. I'm excited to see what the end results will be!

"Let me start by saying I am very picky on who works on my house. With that said my process is the following: I go on ALL review websites, call and set appointments on here for 3 business. From there I pick on professionalism. and of course price. I met with Attic guys, Attic Masters and finally Attic Five Stars. All came with their A game on the initial quote what set them all apart was Virginia and Marlon. Virginia is knowledgeable and walked me through the process of what company was all about. From there Marlon showed up on time for the appointment and walked me through the whole job and provided a great price, I was pleased but not yet closed from there Virginia called and stated she wanted my business and reassured me that i would be happy and the fact that no other company followed up was the closing factor for me. Virginia and Marlon great job on my attic and will be call you for insulation for the garage."

"I first contacted Alpha Fence for a free estimate on the replacement of our wood fence.  They came out and took the necessary measurements and got back to me several days later with the estimate.  Their initial estimate lacked the detail of others that I received.  I requested a revised estimate and the delay in receiving it was a little longer than I anticipated.  After reviewing all estimates, I decided to go with Alpha Fence.

The actual job took five days, mainly due to coordinating the inspections.  We are very happy with the quality of the work that was done.  They took the necessary precautions to insure that the work sight was clean and clear of debris.  We appreciate their professionalism throughout the process and would definitely recommend this company."

FAQs for asbestos testing projects in Whitewater, CA

Asbestos appears as long, thin, or curled mineral fibers that are not visible to the naked eye under normal conditions. Homes constructed before 1989 are more likely to contain this material, so a professional inspection is essential. Because asbestos identification requires specialized techniques, having a certified inspector assess your property is the safest way to confirm its presence and protect your family’s health.

Free asbestos testing services do not exist. You can purchase testing kits online for $30 per unit, and these kits include lab fees, return shipping, consultation, sampling media, and the final results. The results from a kit are less detailed and accurate than those provided by a certified asbestos testing professional. Since collecting a sample exposes you to harmful fibers, hiring a professional is essential to ensure safety and accurate testing.

Receiving asbestos test results takes one to seven days, but different labs offer varying turnaround times. When expedited processing is arranged, the laboratory completes analysis within 24 hours; standard processing requires up to two weeks. Hiring a certified professional ensures that all samples are collected correctly and results are provided without delay, safeguarding your home throughout the process.

Home insurance doesn't often cover asbestos testing and removal. Many policies have a clause called a "pollution exclusion," which means they do not cover indoor pollutants like asbestos. However, your insurance company might cover something like asbestos siding removal costs if it is released due to things beyond your control, such as storm damage.

If a DIY project or accident in your home releases harmful fibers, you must pay for the test and removal.

Yes, you can legally inspect and remove asbestos in your house as long as it's a single-family home and not a multi-family unit. However, the EPA strongly recommends hiring an asbestos abatement pro since testing can be dangerous.

Pros have all the right tools and safety equipment, and you risk breathing in the fibers by taking samples yourself. They also know how to collect samples and safely dispose of materials properly.

Asbestos encapsulation is a process that seals asbestos-containing materials with a protective barrier to prevent the release of harmful fibers. It serves as an alternative to complete removal when full abatement is not necessary. Encapsulation costs between $2 and $6 per square foot, offering a cost-effective option that contains asbestos safely when applied by a certified professional.
