"My neighbor used Abry Brothers a couple years ago and recommended them when I needed some foundation work. Their inspector came out to the house and was polite and very helpful. I appreciated the time he took answering all my questions. I called the office the next day and set an appointment, they came out the following Thurs and did the work. Everyone from start to finish was very polite. Im thankful my neighbor suggested using them. I will definitely do the same thing. Thanks Abry Brothers for making this project at my home a pleasant experience. My husband and I appreciate you all!!!

"In the midst of this pandemic where many businesses had to shut down, it is comforting to know that some are still run with integrity. Breck came by and did a thorough measurement in several parts of the house. As it turns out, we didn’t have a foundation problem after all. Breck did not at all hesitate to let us know. He even took the time to explain what may be causing the cracks in our ceiling. We are saving his contact info and will be recommending him to our friends."

"It went really well, better than expected. Mr. King was great to work with as he provided me several options for water proofing (for the future) and he installed a sump pump which is what I needed as the first step. He was on time, cleaned up after the job was done (and during) and wanted to make sure we were very happy with his work. I waited to do a review because I wanted to see how the sump pump worked after rain. We have had a couple of good rain events since it was installed and we heard it working and doing its job. The unit is a little loud, but knowing it is working and moving the water out of the crawlspace is all that matters to me."

"A contract with W.F.R.I. was signed where six piers were to be installed to correct  foundation problems linked to our house. as construction was near the end, the crew ran into a problem ( rotted wood under the foundation) which prevented further work.

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Whitney, TX

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
