"Excellent service from start to finish. My home is 90 years old. I had several ceilings with cracks in them and a wall with water damage. Also, needed a master bedroom and hallway walls repaired and repainted. The project was complicated because while some of the work was patch/repair/repaint, some of the ceilings were made with a masonite/compound we don't use in modern times and were unable to simply be patched and repaired. They needed to be completed tore down and rebuilt with drywall. The finished product looks amazing! Bill's work is done with great care and perfection. Highly recommend All Seasons!"

"Ed with The Best Home Guys did an excellent and professional job and was always courteous to work with and making sure that all work was cleaned up and vacuumed everyday work was performed. Upon removal of patio door, he discovered extensive termite damage and did a superb job of removing damage and replacing all support and siding that was necessary. I am very happy with his work with installing cabinets and flooring."

"Excellent! Kevin Starks, owner, frequently visited the site to be sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. The workers were on time, constantly busy, and very respectful of our home and us. This was done in the spring and the work was done every week day, weather permitting. <br /> <br /> On the order for the window on the second floor that was replaced due to remodeling, the window had to have egress approval, but the window installed did not. Kevin let us know that he would replace the window with egress approbal. This was in case of a fire someone could open the window and climb down he fire escape ladder. We appreciated hsi knowledge and bringing it to our attention. <br /> <br /> We took bids from other companies and found that there were different ways to install siding such as not removing the old siding and not wrapping the house before the siding installation. One company was so desperate that it changed its bid rom $60,000 to #30,000 which is definitely not the way to do business. <br /> <br /> Kevin Starks, Staks Siding Co., Inc., presented himself in a professional manner, no hard sell, had excellent choices, reasonable price, answered our concerns on the "how to" install siding, met our schedule, and listed the entire work description in a contract for our signature. There were no surprises. From start to finish, it was a satisfying experience due to Kevin and his staff. We highly recommend Starks Siding Co., Inc. <br />"

"I love my Crimsafe products. I covered my entire house. The product is impressive. It is very heavy duty and I feel very safe. The product is very finished and looks clean. The installation took 2 days. It is a premium product but, worth every penny. We all rest better at night knowing that no one can break into our home. Plus it is a hurricane protection as well. So, our windows are protected during storms too. The service was great."

"Every project has gone very well.  Chad shows up on time and works very effeciently and is very respectful of my home.  He is very talented and experienced in any project relating to the home.  I have never had to pay more than what he estimated the project to cost, it has always been right on or less.  Having Chad available for my home projects or renovations really gives me peace of mind, I trust him to get it right and at a fair price.  I can't wait until my next project! <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Wichita, KS

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
