"Suddenly, my basement drain was backing up! A friend tried to unclog it, but to know avail. He thought it might have something to do with the sewer line that ran to the street! Right away, I started seeing dollars signs. So, I went on Angie's list and saw the reviews for HL Bowman. Because they were so highly recommended, I went to their website. Immediately, there was a person named Tiera to chat with. I explained my situation and she asked me a few questions. She told me she would have some one call me. I asked if it would be today because there was sitting water in my basement and I was afraid to even flush a toilet! She said it would definitely be today! Within two minutes of concluding the chat, my phone rang. A very courteous person assured me that he could get someone out there today! It was about 8:30 am and he told me that he could have someone by this afternoon and they would call me before they arrived. Around noon, a young man named Clayton called and said he was on his way. When he arrived, he went to basement and checked out the situation. When he came up he said that he thought the clog was in the pipe along the wall going out to the sewer. He brought in a machine and spent approximately and hour and a half trying to open the clog. He then told me that he had called another person from the company to bring a larger machine. Then, Corey showed up with a huge machine and Clayton left to go to another job. Corey was down there for about another hour and half. The machine was much louder than the first one. I was really worried about the cost and the fact that it was taking so long to open. I pictured having to have my lawn torn up and imagining what that would entail, not to mention the cost. Suddenly, he appeared and I tried to prepare for the worst. He looked at me with a smile on his face and said, "it's open". I was so surprised, I am sure he saw the relief on my face. 'He explained that he had to go out 75 feet to the street, and the that the clog was because of tree roots which he grinded through. I knew this machine was probably more expensive to use than the smaller one. So I braced my self and I asked him what the total charge would be! When he told me, I was shocked as that even included the $70 service fee which included up to 45 minutes to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate. But, because Corey had to bring a bigger machine and stay longer than Clayton had estimated, I was sure it was going to be astronomical. Corey said he would figure it out! When he told me the price I could hardly believe my ears. It was half of what I had anticipated! I was thinking about $1,000- $1200! I can't begin to explain how relieved I was.. I would like to say both Clayton and Corey could not have been nicer. Very mannerly, friendly, and polite. When Corey left, everthing was cleaned up! No sewage anywhere. And another thing that I thought was extraordinary, was how unafraid they were of my two pittbulls. They petted them and Corey even told them to stay when they tried to follow him out the door. LOL! And they, listened! I have found my company should I need any future help. It's good to know that there is someone out there who is professional, knowledgeable, and who charges fair prices. It wasn't cheap, but I believe it could have been a lot higher. Family members also thought the price was good. It started out as a bad day, but I had a smile on my face when Corey left!"

Great job of coordinating with the American Water Company worker to manage water shut-off and turn-on. I can't thank Orbit enough for sending JOHN to install my system. Anyone receiving his services in the future is in for a treat. John deserves a "Beyond the Zone" (Military personnel will understand that terminology) pay raise he is well worth retaining as a skilled technician and one H***-of-a-nice person, a great public relations entity for ORBIT!"

"On a Saturday afternoon I noticed my water heater leaking. I realized it wasn't going to last much longer. I sent out a message to Angi's list and within minutes had a response from Brian. I sent him pictures and just as I thought I needed a new one. He gave me a price with a new heater and installation. He told me that I could go buy one and he would install it to save some money. I estimated what it would cost if I bought it from a home improvement store, paid for delivery and the installation and decided to have Brian do what he does best at a fair price. He even threw in a military discount for me. He was at my home within three hours, drained and removed the old one and installed the new one. Outstanding service, they even cleaned up the mess from the leak of the old one. Very courteous, thorough and overall such a nice young man."

"PRO: For installing an interior French drain, while it was pouring outside, the crew was extremely clean. Both my yard and interior of my house was left with only minor evidence of the work. PRO: The initial consultation with Phil Thistle was informative and provided me with piece of mind in terms of the project and projected outcome. It seemed as though we would have support throughout the project. PRO: Owen Dan Kelly is very dedicated to the quality of his company and the work they do. Once he found out about some of the concerns I had with the project, he remedied them immediately. I was very impressed with the attention he provides his customers. CON: Communication. Up to the install, I was in constant contact with the company about timing and expectations. However, as soon as the install began and then directly after, I was on my own. There seemed to be no one overseeing the install, just the crew doing the work. Also, there were miscommunications about the project throughout the install; the crew was asking me for direction on installation steps I have no background on. CON: Support. Again, as soon as the install was complete, that was it. Phil showed me images of pictures he took with satisfied customers on past installs, making me feel that he was dedicated to the project's success. However, after the consultation, even though he was copied on various emails about some of my concerns, he never got back in touch. In addition, no one ever contacted me to see if I had questions about the finished product, to see how everything turned out, or if there was anything else I needed. CON: Timing. The crew was on-time for the install both days, however, the schedule was more impactful to my routine than expected. The crew worked 9AM - 3PM only on Day 1. However, to finish in 2 days, they worked 8:30AM - 7:30PM on Day 2. As I have a small child, having construction still happening after 7:30PM was difficult, but more so was confusing as Day 1 ended so early."

I just needed someone to do the job that wouldn’t take advantage of me financially, knew the ins and outs of what had to be done, and would do the task quickly, efficiently, completely, competently, and correctly. He wasn’t sitting in his van waiting for me; he wasn’t mulling around or on the phone making other arrangements. He was already doing his job. His truck was already unloaded, his assistant was already setting up and gathering the tools they’d need, and the well was already partially disassembled... and I wasn’t even there yet. After a short introduction (as well as to his helper/nephew, Danny), I unlocked the house, and within five minutes the situation was diagnosed and repairs had begun. Bob didn’t stop explaining what he was doing throughout the entire process. Just from his description of what was happening and his actions as he performed them, he left no question as to his expertise, his thoroughness, what needed to be done, what was required and what was optional/recommended, how long it would take, and what it would cost. He pointed out what had been done incorrectly the last time it was “fixed,” and he remedied those things as he went along in his task. Not a moment was wasted (not the least of which was because it was 25 degrees outside). As a result of the way he works, what I envisioned as potentially a five to six hour job, was completed in under two hours: completely, correctly, and meticulously. Small things that others might have overlooked to cut corners were done (e.g. disinfecting the well, adding extra reinforcements of electrical tape at the joints connecting the pump and along the length of the pipe, etc.). As quickly as they showed up, they were gone - the job analyzed, quoted, performed, cleaned up, and paid for in less time than I thought it would take to just evaluate the situation. If there’s a higher accolade to be paid to a reliable and honest tradesman, I don’t know what it is other than to say that I have rarely had the pleasure of dealing with someone like Bob Walter. His demeanor, expertise, and sincerity are obvious. He is a true professional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call him first and immediately with any plumbing or heating question."
