Customers say: Quality work

"I had a hard time trying to find someone to install a new garage door opener. Finally I managed to find Mr. Nelson and sent him a picture of my door. In a few minutes he gave me a quote, asked my address, and the next morning he installed it and it works perfectly. He came by later in the day to pick up payment. I couldn't believe how easy it was working with him."

"I expressed interest through Home Advisor. They called same day and came out next day to give estimate. Was the best estimate we had and returned next day to install new garage door opener on hottest day of the year. He did not complain about anything and finished in a few hrs. Works great. I do most home repair projects myself but have had 2 good experiences with HA s and will consider using for other projects"

".  I used them for window and door replacement. Last time they replace my front door.  The door price was 2400 $. They are very good. What they supply is high quality product. I’m satisfied with the window and the door that I have. The people who install the door seem to be very good at what they do. And they did the job quickly."

"Excellent customer service. After being told by another company that we couldnâ t get service for 6 weeks, I contacted Precise online and was contacted within 5 min. This was on a Friday. I was told they would try to come that same day, but since it wasnâ t an emergency to me, I said Monday would be fine. I was just happy to not have to wait 6 weeks! They called before showing up. I wasnâ t able to be home but they came and made the repair (to replace a cable). I thought there were some other issues that needed to be addressed and called the owner. He came over the very next day and made whatever adjustments necessary and now everything works perfectly. I think they even greased our other garage door as well because that one is opening much better (it wasnâ t even part of the repair request!). Awesome, friendly, prompt customer service and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!"

"It went extremely well. The technician from Illinois Garage Repair was very professional and did an excellent job in replacing the garage door opener. He even went "beyond the call of duty" by programming all of my remote controls."

FAQs for garage door opener repair or adjustment projects in Williamsburg, MI

Garage door costs range somewhat broadly, depending on the type you choose. However, you’ll also need to factor in labor costs, which vary from state to state and between pros.

A chain driven operator costs between $150 - $250. For a belt driven operator it is usually $160 - $450. A screw-driven operator is between $250-$500.

To keep garage door opener repair costs down, you should check that the whole apparatus is working normally on a regular basis. This means making sure that the tracks of your door are greased and fully operational, and that the door itself is in good condition.

Installing a new garage door opener runs from $250 to $500 at least. If your repair costs are close in cost to that range or if your garage door is 10 to 15 years old, you should probably replace it instead of repair.

However, it’s a better idea to fix your garage door opener if it’s less than eight years old or if repair costs are less than replacing.

Garage door openers usually last between 10 and 15 years. However, several factors contribute to how long your garage door opener can last. If you schedule regular inspections and practice proper care, you can maximize your garage door opener’s lifespan, saving money in the long run. As a general rule, practice the same care for your garage door opener as you would the door itself.

These tell-tale signs indicate your garage door is going bad, including:

  • Not closing or opening at all

  • The door reversing when you try to open and/or close it

  • Inconsistent opening and closing; more noise than usual (grinding, scraping, or banging)

  • Sticking or stalling when you try to open or close it

If you experience one or more of these signs, it’s time to call a professional garage door repair service.
