"We found this company to be extremely professional and the service was excellent.  Carl, had come out before the gas line was installed, with the coal basket, to let us see what it would  look like. He wanted to make sure the measurements were correct.  We love our new gas coal basket in our 1938 bungalow.  Carl had it hooked up in a very short time. We would recommend him highly. Karen, who runs the office, was also extremely professional, giving us advice on options, pricing and how best to approach an extremely narrow firebox. They worked to get us in before Thanksgiving. We found him frank, easy to work with and will definitely use his services in the upkeep of our gas fireplace. The biggest cost was for the coal basket at about $1,000.00. "Excellent! Strange as it may sound, the visit from Chimneys Plus folks turned out to be the most enjoyable event of my week! Scheduling by phone was easy and quick... and Larry and Eric showed up on time, (wearing masks the whole time, which I appreciate during this pandemic), did a clean efficient job, spent the time to answer my questions and show me the views of the camera going up my chimney, teaching me a lot about the whole business, all the while being friendly not only to me but to my annoying barking little terriers. "How did it go - perfectly! I had gone in one of my spare bedrooms upstairs to get something (I rarely have reason to go into the room very often) and noticed some popcorn ceiling matter on the carpet. Looking up I saw a water mark on the ceiling the size of a basketball. I called Authentic Restoration and Scott Bullard came out the following day. He went in the attic to look around and then got on on the roof and noticed the seal to an attic vent pipe had been dislodged. The vent pipe is right next to my A/C unit in the attic (and right above the water mark on my ceiling) and Scott concluded that someone working for the company that does my annual A/C maintenance must have pushed on the vent pipe to cause it to move and unseat the seal on the roof. Scott pushed the seal back in place and resealed it with silicone. He also did a complete roof inspection with pictures and showed me the many problems up there and suggested a new roof (roof is approximately 22 years old so the new roof recommendation was not surprising at all) . He's working up an estimate for my review. The house call, inspection and reseal work was done at no charge. Scott was very friendly, professional and courteous. I offered to pay for his time and travel but he refused. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Thank you so much."

"Lonnie came out and noticed the vent was compacted and metal vent tubing itself had begun to corrode in the ceiling. A new vent was installed in a couple of hours by going through our ceiling. Could have possibly saved our family from a catastrophic event. Checked the alarms, fire extinguisher, and gave me recommendations on CO2 alarms and a 2nd story evac ladder available on Amazon. Will hire again for work on chimney and gas logs."
