The $500 is an approximate amount as they are sending me a corrected invoice. We thought they would have to replace tiles in each bathroom after my plumber had put in new vanities but did not, so the first estimate is being lowered. I gave a "good" rating (as opposed to "excellent" rating) on the price because I don't know what the finished total will be. I'm guessing they'll charge the going rate for a professional handyman.
I had read on Angie's List that communication was some times a issue but I did not experience that AT ALL. We did the majority of our communication through e-mail and they always answered my e-mails promptly. I had to juggle the dates for them to come because of other work being done and they went with the flow.

"He let me know that the chimney didn't need to be cleaned and also let me know how much Chimney cap and insert would cost. He told me both fireplaces were working and ready to burn wood."

"Over 2 days Don and his assistance replaced an exterior door, fixed multiple window drip sills, replaced rotten side battens, re-built an interior window frame that had water damage, and fixed a shed door and floor. They also painted these repaired areas. The actual cost for the work, time and materials, were on target with his estimates and the work was fantastic. They were efficient and took care to clean up as they went along. The workmanship was much better than I could ever do myself even if I had the time. I will have him back soon to help with more projects."

"Highly recommended!  I contracted with Brick Solutions owner, Joe Walls, to have a badly damaged concrete driveway replaced with brick pavers.  I had previously gotten estimates for replacing the driveway with new concrete but I was concerned about damaging the roots of a very old tulip poplar tree adjacent to the driveway.  When the concrete contractor informed
me if he didn?t cut the roots he couldn?t guarantee the concrete but if he did cut the roots he could not guarantee the tree would survive, I decided to go with brick.
Joe said he could do the driveway without damaging the roots.  He broke up the old concrete with a jackhammer rather than bringing in heavy equipment.  We consulted with an arborist who told Joe what could or could not be cut.  When our plan to save a portion of the old concrete did not work out because it was too cracked Joe volunteered to break it up and replace it
with brick at no extra charge.  He worked carefully, followed all out suggestions, and managed to give us a smooth brick
driveway that looks much better than what we had before.
In short, Brick Solutions did a great job for a reasonable price and it was pleasure to work with Joe.
