"The Sunnyview crew did a great job! We had the front and backyard re-sodded, a pine tree removed along with all the old yews, junipers and other old growth, plus had a retaining wall built in front. Juan worked with us to create the new landscaping and went out of his way to get the exact type of bushes we wanted. We have a privacy fence and additional plantings scheduled for the fall. We hired Sunnyview to trim existing hedges and maintain the lawn for the season as well. I would highly recommend Sunnyview - it was a pleasure to work with Juan and his crew!"

"I recently moved and needed to have someone take a look at the sprinkler system. The office staff told me the cost of a service call and once the technician made it out they walked me through my system and showed me the repairs that it needed. they scheduled me for repairs quickly after and were very prompt and communicative on having to reschedule due to bad weather. they were able to give me very quick availability, came back and completed the repairs that were needed very timely and did great work."

"We had a bump. We had a water line that burst from the street to the house about three years ago. The person that did the line never smoothed out the yard. We had that fixed. We had railroad timbers that was lining our garden taken out. Grass put in in the garden in the back. Some planting, weeding, mulch everywhere, tree trimming. A quite a few things. We had two other estimates and they all had completely different ideas. Some just wanted to put stone everywhere which we did not want. They were most expensive but they were the more creative where they put plants on the south end of our house. The other two people did not and their prices were almost as much. I think they would have responded faster but we had a lot of rain here. They had some family issues and so did we so it was later than we wanted. If they said they were going to be here, they were. There was two guys and they were here a couple of different days. Maybe four hours each time. I like their work. It is a husband and wife team. They are very friendly. They do listen to what you want."

"It was difficult to get it scheduled.  Possibly because of the popularity, but also because the messaging and voice mail system did not seems to work as expected.  We always left messages.  Once we finally had it scheduled, it took a little while to get the design, but it was a good start.  We liked the design, but as many things like this, certainly not their fault, visualizing a garden from a plan design is difficult.
Ultimately, though it took longer than we expected, we appreciated the design and it offered a good value for the money.  It was a good place to start.  Unfortunately, because of the lack of examples (pictures, local properties) of completed execution of the designs, we decided to go with a diff landscaping firm.  We ended up using the NEW landscaping design firm's plans instead.

"Half of their work is very good. The other half is mediocre. They patched, acid etched and coated our 58 year old concrete porch with polymer modified coatings. Less than 6 months later the coating is worn and chipping off. They acid etched and coated the garage floor and said it would probably crack someday. Someday was 3 weeks. They removed the old wrought iron railings and installed new aluminum railings whose angles and placement do not match. They still have not replaced the small railing gate protecting the basement stairs. They installed Unilock Pavers. The pavers are basically level. They were supposed to repair and reinstall our chain link fence gate. They dug out one post and reset it leaning north. The gate was worse than before they started. We had to pay someone else to fix it so that it stays closed. They removed and replaced the asphalt driveway and did an excellent job but we spent 2 weeks with the driveway dug down to the clay with machinery and debris everywhere. The two river rock sections are very well done. They work, when they please. They say “we’ll be here tomorrow” and finally show up days later with increasingly outrageous explanations. This project is not finished and we are very displeased with the quality of the work and the way that Uptime Builders do business."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Willow Springs, IL

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
