The gas log set he recommended looks beautiful in our home and matches our decor perfectly. We LOVE it. He also painted the inside of our fireplace black, which looks amazing! No more sooty walls! His assistant installed a high-quality chimney cap with a lifetime warranty. We are very happy to have that taken care of to guard against rodents, etc., getting in the house through the chimney. Although the assistant threw the old chimney cap in the yard and left it there, we are overall extremely pleased with A1 Chimney. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. "The chimney to our furnace was loose.  Noticed after a leak.  Our roofer caulked it but explained it wasn't firmly attached.  Maximum came out and did a free inspection, then described the problem.  They were able to repair that afternoon.  They were a little after the window in which they said they'd be out, but the did call.

"I originally bought an Angieslist deal for a roof inspection and repair credit.  Wesley Pluta contacted me very quickly after I bought the deal.  We had some water infiltration in January due to an ice dam, and I suspected one area of the roof needed some attention.  So when Wesley came out, we looked at the roof together and decided upon a course of action that included looking under the shingles at the flashing in a couple different areas.  The work was done by one of his guys a few weeks later.  One area of flashing around a chimney needed to be replaced.  The work was completed pretty quickly.  I am assuming that this should take care of the problem should we encounter ice dams in the future, but won't really know until that happens.  His work, of course, comes with a guarantee, so I'm sure if there is a problem he will fix it.  He was very responsive to my emails over the course of the time it took to get the work completed.  I also received a quote for siding replacement from him.  We aren't doing that work right now, but it's nice to have.

"They were very prompt. Estimator was 5 minutes late and couldn't apologize enough. Checked with a contractor I knew and he said the price was good. They were able to replace some of the bricks with a perfect match. The others were neatly repaired (can't even see where). I will have them back to do our chimney repairs.

James the owner came to give me a quote and I found it to be really competitive. He was very friendly, explained in detail the work that needed to be done, the time it would take, who was doing the work and the benefits of my new high-efficiency units. 

The day of the installation, James and his crew got to my home at the appointment time, introduced themselves, went through the proposed work again (just to make sure I was still comfortable and informed), and put tarps on my floor.

The crew had to move some furniture and were very careful in doing so. As the day went on, I was informed of the progress and what was happening. This I was very happy with and it really put me at ease.

When they were all done, I was shown how to work my new thermostat, and given some filters to change out every 3 months. James also put a sticker with his number on my furnace just in case I needed it.

Overall, I was very happy with them and would highly recommend them.
