"After dealing with one other windows company delivering an aggressive sales push apparently characteristic for this industry, it was a pleasure to interact with Matt Rotondi, the owner. He provided all the information necessary, in addition the helpful online information, before making the sale, and there was no pressure for the more expensive models. He continued to be highly responsive and courteous even after we signed on the dotted line. The installation of 26 windows was done by a contracted team on the days it was scheduled to be done, and everything went well. The windows look very nice and provide the improved insulation we were hoping for. Obviously only time will tell how they hold up in the future, but I have full confidence that Matt will honor the warranty that should cover any potential issues. After the installation, one of the windows was hard to open and another one had a very small dent, probably from the delivery, but he fixed both issues without discussion. I recommend Zen Windows without any hesitation."

"I called to get more info and a quote about two weeks before I needed the cleaning done and spoke with Jack. I told him how many windows I had and what types (6 old/original, 12 replacement/fold down ones) and he gave me a quote of about $250 which he said would be adjusted once they saw the windows. Mike and another employee came right on time and we did a quick walk through. They explained some options for the older windows that needed a little more work to be completely cleaned and I opted for the easier, surface clean. They took about two hours and the final price was under their original estimate. I appreciated the fact that they could've just gone with their original, higher estimate and didn't. They also cleaned the storm door windows which wasn't part of the original quote. Overall, they were responsive, professional, and easy to work with. I would use them again. <br />"

"The day was very long and the two-man crew finished at suppertime after arriving around 8 am on time. They prepped and sprayed and cleaned up. The hose had to go in a second floor window and then up to the third floor for the attic, then down to the basement later. They tried to minimize dirt with lots of floor and stair coverings. You have to accept a certain amount of dirt when you do this, I was very satisfied with their clean-up. <br /> A few days later when I was replacing items behind the knee walls I found a hole that had been missed in the attic -- I could see it and feel the cold air -- and they came back promptly to fill it with hand held spray cans. I was not unhappy at finding the hole -- it was hard to get all the spots around the ducts and could see why a small one got missed. <br /> I paid the bill in full and a few days later had an energy audit done with a blower door test and a thermal camera that pinpoints air leaks in your house. I recommend this highly. It was not intended to find any leaks where the foam was sprayed, but for other areas, however I did find cold air coming in there, so I contacted the company again. The owner himself came by and we went over the job. It resulted in another visit by the crew, the hose to the attic for a much shorter visit this time, and more foam being sprayed at no additional expense to me. They had not done a poor job the first time, I am satisfied about that. But attics are complicated, and I had not understood how air flows, even in a new house (8 years old), so I wanted the foam to be in places they don't ordinarily spray. They complied, and I was happy. <br /> The whole idea was to stop my terrible ice dams. We certainly have the snow to see if it works now. So far so good. I would hire them again. <br />"

"Very professional, came to the house with samples and helped us make the right choice for our concerns of window replacement which were a mix of cost, looks, sound reduction and energy savings.( We went with the slightly higher cost composite windows because it looked better with the style of the house and provided better sound reduction and slightly better heat retention.) Helped us through the MassSave loan process. Whenever I had a question I was able to get a hold of him quickly and he'd happily answer it. Three weeks after ordering windows (Usually it's about two weeks but the window manufacturers had a delay in making the windows. ) they were put in over two days, working with us to make sure they were in before the house painters came in. (They do not paint, so be prepared to either do touch ups yourself or schedule it so your handyman/painters can be there shortly after which is what we did since we needed the whole house painted.) On time, professional, neatened up after. The windows look great, I get almost no noise from the busy road, and they noticeably trap more heat which should pay real dividends in winter. It's a small family owned local business as is the company they get the windows from. I highly recommend them. I ever needed windows again I'd go to them in a heart beat."

"Bruno and his team did an amazing job and I highly recommend them. We had three layers of siding removed and replaced with HardiPlank and we also had two storm doors and several replacement windows installed. Bruno is a skilled professional, he pays attention to the details and, he's a really nice person. He gave us a very reasonable quote and took care of the permitting and the dumpster -he made the whole process smooth and easy for us. We have a 2.5 story 120 yr old home in Somerville which, like many Somerville homes, is kind of leaning and crooked. It was a difficult siding job and we're so impressed and with the results. Finding someone to re-side your house can feel over-whelming. We feel so lucky that we found Cechinel Siding & Windows to help us get through this process."

"Danny and his partner installed all 8 windows in 3-1/2 hours. They where both very professional and courteous. Left all areas inside and out very clean. Very, very impressed with there professionalism and courtesy. Danny and I found a small scratch on 1 window between the 2 panes. Danny is ordering a new upper window and assured me it will be replaced in about 3 weeks. When Danny returns I will also show him I am having a problem latching one of the bedroom windows. I am sure Danny will be able to fix or replace the problem. I’d like to thank Shannon for this email from your service and warranty department. Overall very, very satisfied with the service and install by Windows Nation??"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Wilmington, MA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
