Customers say: True professional

"We called Envirgo to have tile removed, tested and encapsulate the flooring on Wednesday, Dec 10, 2025. Nobody was on these floors until I walked in today and discovered that the encapsulation fluid was sprayed on my walls. Yes it is a water based sealant but the paint inside the house is also water based. My fiancé will be calling the company later today to see if we can get this resolved, because I will not be wiping these walls down because I don't want to take off the paint. If you look at the pictures, you can see where the paint is already starting to come off.Because of this encapsulation. I do not recommend them and I will not recommend them to my family or friends unless they fix this to my satisfaction."

"Highly recommended! I've referred clients to Vickie multiple times with various issues, be it in basement, attic, walls, etc. Each time it's good experience and quick results. She takes time to give you as much detail as you want about air and site testing. And she is not a mold cleaning company, so she isn't going to sell you any other services...no conflict of interest. As for price...it costs money to do the testing and have it professionally analyzed by a laboratory. But when you need to KNOW if you have a problem, she's automatic."

"I just recently had a duct cleaning done by a reputable company after moving into another home. The time and manner in which they performed the service was well beyond what I had experienced with Top Dog. So, that is why this complaint is being filed after more than 1 yr. Top Dog advertised (and still do) $99 for 10 ducts and $15 for each additional duct. Also, they said there would be an additional nominal charge for being outside of their normal area. My home had 14 ducts, so the service charge should have been $159; however, they charged $400 plus $30 tax. In addition for the exorbitant bill, only one guy was there for 1 hr, failed to clean several of the ducts, and instead of using a large vacuum hose placed at the furnace plenum and compressed air via the vents, they only used a small brush ad vacuum hose via the vents. Clearly, I received unsatisfactory service (now that I know how it should be done) and was grossly overcharged. Its outrageous that Top Dog has an A+ rating with the BBB. I would never recommend their service and disgusted that they are still in operation."

"I am an engineer so I take the details on things seriously. I interviewed multiple companies for this work which had to be completed before putting my house on the market. Bill Gacioch at CPR was my #1 choice by far. Much of the scope of work was unknown until we got stucco removed from the exterior and could see inside the walls. Once we knew the extent of damage, Bill recommended a solution to speed things up, provide better quality, and save me money. His team worked hand in glove with the stucco removal and siding teams to complete the work on time. All of the work was done professionally and with exceptional quality and communication. Bill’s work, attention to detail, and integrity were so good that I hired him additionally to check on details for me regarding other contractors’ work when I was out of state. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat."

FAQs for asbestos testing projects in Winthrop, MN

Asbestos appears as long, thin, or curled mineral fibers that are not visible to the naked eye under normal conditions. Homes constructed before 1989 are more likely to contain this material, so a professional inspection is essential. Because asbestos identification requires specialized techniques, having a certified inspector assess your property is the safest way to confirm its presence and protect your family’s health.

Free asbestos testing services do not exist. You can purchase testing kits online for $30 per unit, and these kits include lab fees, return shipping, consultation, sampling media, and the final results. The results from a kit are less detailed and accurate than those provided by a certified asbestos testing professional. Since collecting a sample exposes you to harmful fibers, hiring a professional is essential to ensure safety and accurate testing.

Receiving asbestos test results takes one to seven days, but different labs offer varying turnaround times. When expedited processing is arranged, the laboratory completes analysis within 24 hours; standard processing requires up to two weeks. Hiring a certified professional ensures that all samples are collected correctly and results are provided without delay, safeguarding your home throughout the process.

Home insurance doesn't often cover asbestos testing and removal. Many policies have a clause called a "pollution exclusion," which means they do not cover indoor pollutants like asbestos. However, your insurance company might cover something like asbestos siding removal costs if it is released due to things beyond your control, such as storm damage.

If a DIY project or accident in your home releases harmful fibers, you must pay for the test and removal.

Yes, you can legally inspect and remove asbestos in your house as long as it's a single-family home and not a multi-family unit. However, the EPA strongly recommends hiring an asbestos abatement pro since testing can be dangerous.

Pros have all the right tools and safety equipment, and you risk breathing in the fibers by taking samples yourself. They also know how to collect samples and safely dispose of materials properly.

Asbestos encapsulation is a process that seals asbestos-containing materials with a protective barrier to prevent the release of harmful fibers. It serves as an alternative to complete removal when full abatement is not necessary. Encapsulation costs between $2 and $6 per square foot, offering a cost-effective option that contains asbestos safely when applied by a certified professional.
