Even at that cost, it seemed unbelievably high. (About 4 hours work= $300/hr) Combine this with the gas hook-up, which was $500, install cost 1700, The generator cost of $3000 (A Costco purchase)"

This wouldn’t be surprising because it’s an older home, but what makes me unhappily surprised is that 2 other electricians from other companies did a safety check on my home and missed glaring issues. Andy wasn’t trying to sell me anything. In fact a couple of my concerns weren’t anything to be concerned with. Andy is coming back next week to do more work for me, because as I talked to him my confidence in his expertise grew as we walked through and found things. "I have a whole house protection policy. They didn't actually do the repair. I have the insurance policy through them and they contact someone to come out to do the repair. It's a $75 co pay."
