"Peter and his brother Brian did an excellent job deleading my apartment and the exterior of the house. Price quote was lower than all the others I received. Job was completed quickly and passed re-inspection. Peter picks up his phone when called and sticks to everything he says. Brain and his crew were very professional. I have since hired them to do some unrelated work which is going great so far. I will be working with them to get the other units deleaded in the future."

"9/16/16 Signed contract to replace a bow window with 3 double-hung windows. 9/26/16 Technician takes inside/outside measurements. 11/9/16 Installers arrive. Job not completed due to defective/missing components. Installer and I reviewed work completed, I signed Zero Defect Form with installer notes, paid balance due, holding back 10% for work not completed. 11/10/16 Call from Rich Cavanaugh, CRM. I am disappointed project not completed. He said I would hear from Service in about 2 weeks. 12/1/2016 I called Service, left message, no call back. 12/2/2016 I called Service. Told me I should get a call next week to schedule. 1/3/17 I called Service and was told everything in. Will call back with date. 1/4/17 Call from Service with date. 1/16/17 Service tech arrives without all components to complete job. After a couple of phone calls and much discussion he goes to local lumber yard and buys what he needs to complete exterior work and installs it. Interior work must be delayed until a window sash is ordered. 1/16/17 I call Rich. I am disgusted. Why was I told all components were in? 1/17/17 Call from Rich. Window sash has been ordered. I will get a call from service when it is in. 1/20/17 Call from Service. Sash will be in on 2/3/17. Completion date set. 2/8/17 service tech arrives to install sash and replace damaged interior molding. All work completed, but just as tech is leaving the glass in the newly-installed window sash cracks. A new sash will need to be ordered. And so the saga continues. My comment is this: The windows are well-made, energy-efficient, and beautiful. The installers and service technicians are professional, skilled craftsmen and do excellent work. Service administration and scheduling is inefficient and unacceptable. Installation of 3 windows should not take three months! On a positive note, the 10% I held back was waived as compensation for my inconvenience. Not holding my breath for the new sash."

"It has been one year since the replacement, so I felt it was time to leave a review. We replaced all the windows in our smaller mid-century house. Zen provided the windows in a timely manner, and installed them all in a few days. We are generally happy with the quality of the windows, although the locks & operators to open the windows feel a bit cheap. Also, the screens pop in & out, and while that is okay, the lack of a locking mechanism makes me wonder how they will last in the long term. HOWEVER - the team that replaced the windows did not put down any tarps or protection when they took out our old windows. They forgot to remove three of them from our property, and we were left to deal with that. The bigger issue was that they shattered a bunch of the window panes while removing, and to this day, a year later, we are STILL finding large shards of glass on the ground while gardening or planting. We don't have kids, but if we did, we would have had to spend thousands on replacing our gardening, tearing up mulch and dirt, and attempting to keep index-card-sized pieces of glass from being left on our lawn. They did come by once to clean up, but, as I noted, just this week I found two large shards shallowly buried in our side yard. Would not hire again."

"March & Martin were professional in explaining the process and answered all questions upfront.  On the day of the service, the technicians went over every step and addressed all concerns.  When the technicians completed the job we could feel the difference right away since it was on the south side of the house.  The old fiberglass insulation could not create a tight enough seal to keep the roof heat out of the second floor.  I will use March & Martin for all my future spray foam needs. <br />"

"I've asked 1st Choice to do three large remodeling jobs. First adding a bedroom, bath and closet in existing space on the 2nd floor, which included installing 2 skylights. Second, a complete kitchen remodel (see picture) as well as renovating two bathrooms on first floor. Third, just finished recently, painting living room, guest room, dining room on first floor and loft office. This last included replacing all woodwork on first floor and building an under-stair treatment. Rich and Paul are a delight to work with. They use competent third-party vendors, i.e. plumbers, electricians, the kitchen designer, the granite people. They and their crews are professional, helpful, and best of all, clean up everything as they go. They are good so they're in demand - so plan your timing. But it is definitely worth the wait. Prices are competitive, and any problems (not many for sure!) have been dealt with promptly. Jobs were all completed on time and within the budget we set. I was extremely pleased with the work - which is why I've asked them back twice!"

"AAA Rated Company!! They showed up on time and schedule, were extremely qualified and did excellent work. The install went perfectly, the 2 men that showed up were "craftsman". They vacuumed up the inside, picked up every little piece of scrap left over, carted away my old windows and overall displayed a high level of professionalism.. Would definitely hire them again. "I was referred to greater Boston roofing thru my solar company (Sun Run). As a fully time inspector and part time contractor I know how important it is to do my due my own research and talk with the the potential contractor. I spoke with Lisa Z the office manager from Greater Boston Roofing She was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. Lisa went over of the complete process from beginning to end and the tasked to be performed. She also assisted in my color choice and warranty information. What I found most refreshing was that Lisa was my single point of contact thru the beginning stages until just prior to installation and at the completion of the project. 48 hours before the installation I had a conference call with Lisa, Alex the "Office guy" and myself. Alex confirm what Lisa and I have discussed. On the morning of the scheduled removal and installation I received a text from Selom the onsite projector manager stating they would be arrive shortly. Once he arrived we went over exactly what was to happen next and introduced me to the installtion team. Most importantly for me they maintained Covid 19 protocol at all times. Some interior was required (4 Skylights) The job was completed as promised in the same day. The yard and driveway were cleaned up and brought back to original condition or better. Once again Thank You to Lisa Z and the entire Greater Boston Roofing team. Sincerely one Happy Home owner! DCF June 2020"

"Tom and company did a great job on this project. I spent a lot on this door and finished it myself, so I was very concerned that I hire a pro who would do a proper job and not mar the door during installation. They did a great job. In addition, they had to widen the rough opening to fit the door . The storm was another touchy install, as it was not pre-hung... they had to frame around the door. I'm very happy with their work and recommend them without reservation."

"Overall we were extremely happy with the result. They went above and beyond in all aspects. We worked with John in ordering the windows, and he went through all the details numerous times to ensure we got what we wanted. He even met us at the showroom on a Saturday to fit with our schedule. The windows turned out great- and for a fraction of the price another company quoted in the Boston area. Highly recommend United Better Homes and hope to use them again for a roof or new doors."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Wrentham, MA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
