When they lifted the lid, they found that the DRAIN was clogged, they showed me the clog, a tangle of roots, I watched them clear the drain. I watched the water, etc. run out. They told me that my backup was caused by the clog. "Once again Earl&#39;s performance plumbing knocked it out of the park. This company is GREAT ! I called at 10 am, scheduled an appointment the same day for between 12 &amp; 2 pm, Jose arrived at 1:30 and was finished , paid , and gone 30 minutes later. "Oak called 2nd but came next day/ UN-prepared to do either repair or water test (requested on phone) or even replace with ready new ADA toilet that the lying receptionist booker said they have “some in stock and if not he will show a catalog of choices”. Guy came punctually with Nzo tools or appliances Or knowledge of what I asked for as an “URGENT repair/replace”. See ABC review same call. Not quite as bad as them doing same since we also still have broken HVAC too, both said they would fix ( I bought gasket already, they could have put in) or replace if they brought new toilet. Problem is not in water pipes except they need testing for lead - both said they would do this too - when I asked oak re taking a sample, how long sitting in pipes? He wiped off his soda water bottle and asked “which pipes?” !!"

"My 12 year old gas water heater finally bit the dust a couple of weeks ago. I requested quotes for replacement and received response from 2. One (unnamed) had 4 different people call within a space of 2 hours, none of whom could give me an estimate (they wanted to come ‘analyze’ the problem. The other was Russell from Sacramento Sewer and Drain. Took about 10 minutes to explain what I needed and get a quote. Scheduled for the next morning. Showed up on time, took out the old one, installed the new one, tested everything, cleaned up and we had hot water before noon. The estimate was right on, and he took the old one with him. That’s how it’s supposed to work, but I’m afraid it’s kind of rare. In any case I recommend Russell and SSD highly."
