"We are extremely happy with the work done by Thomas Custom Builders (TCB). Overall they did an amazing and outstanding job! They had a contractor on site, on time every day. Brian S. was professional, helpful, patient, hard working and skilled both in managing subcontractors and doing work himself. I trusted him with our home and would work with Brian/TCB again easily. I have already recommended their company to others. TCB renovated a few parts of our house, added electricity to a shed and added an entire master bedroom suite on an additional floor (adding approximately 550 sqft to our house). They finished earlier than expected. Our neighbors couldn't believe how fast the addition was completed and how well done. Any additional costs from the original budget estimate were due to our choice to add more work. I waited to write a review. I wanted to live in the addition for a little while to see how everything holds up. We have had only minor things arise and have been very pleased with the responsiveness of Brian and TCB to come back out and check on things. They came back to add a bracket to a new countertop that moved slightly, they shaved a door that was sticking as the weather changed, they fixed the damage done when carpets were installed by another company, they arranged for a rep from the hot water heater company to come out and fix a noise issue, all done at no additional cost to us. I have worked with contractors before but nothing on this level. It wasn't perfect, there were concerns that came up. I had to learn that this was major construction and with major construction comes mess. Brian and his team addressed our concerns and remedied any issue fairly. With so many negative stories I've heard from people who worked with other companies, I am so very thankful that we had such a good experience and ended up with such an amazing master suite and changes to our home. We love it and we receive many compliments. We chose to work with TCB because they came highly recommended by a neighbor who had similar work done and were very satisfied with their outcome."

"This was our second bathroom remodel by Capstone. The Team did a great job. Their tile work, both in the shower/tub area and on the bathroom floor is fantastic. We had new electrical outlets installed along the vanity and wanted an existing one on the side hall wall removed. Capstone noticed that we did not have an outlet in the hall and suggested moving the existing bathroom outlet down and around to face the hall rather than just not use it. Their thoughtfulness and suggestions set them apart."

"Rick and his Before and After Home Improvement “All-Star Team” provided outstanding professional work in replacing the water damaged posts supporting my deck and the design and work to complete a stamped concrete patio, walkway, and front porch. Our property sits on a hill such that water from our neighbor’s yard drains into our own with some of it settling against our house under the deck. The deck was constructed about 20 years ago with part of the wooden posts buried in the ground. Although the wood was pressure treated, over time, the marshy ground had compromised the integrity of the deck support posts. We had contacted several contractors to request proposed estimates. Some were unresponsive. Others would not fully address our concerns about correcting the water drainage and adding additional concrete to anchor the new deck support posts above ground. Rick was by far, the most responsive. He listened to our concerns and based upon his 45+ years of experience, provided several recommendations for correcting the damaged deck posts and the drainage issues on our property. He gave us a prompt and reasonable estimate. His team went to work right away. We were so pleased with the results that we discussed the idea of the patio and walkway. Again, Rick listened to our ideas and provided excellent recommendations to move us to a beautiful design. Upon contract award, Rick’s team went to work immediately. Rick himself visited the site on a daily basis and communicated with us on the progress. When we suggested some changes, he was very flexible and responsive. "Fantastic! Devin and his team remodeled three of the four bedrooms in my townhouse in Clarendon: the first about four years ago and the other two bathrooms two years ago. He also built me a new closet in the master bedroom. The entire experience was amazing. The work is top quality - years later it still looks perfect and I have not had any problems - and his team is polite, professional, timely and they left my home spotless when they left. And since the work has been completed, Devin has helped me with little issues for free whenever I needed help. He is truly a talented professional and a stellar person. Patrick was with us from concept to permitting to demo to build and we are absolutely thrilled with our new space. We had a loft space that made several hundred square feet of unusable space in our house. Patrick worked with us to understand the design options, work us through the concept and process, did all of the permitting and managed the process from start to finish. We now have a full third bedroom in our house, a brand new walk-in closet, a new ceiling and lighting in our kitchen and we also had them replace all of the carpeting in our second bedroom, hall, two staircases and a closet. We can’t recommend them enough and Patrick will be our first call the next time we need to renovate."
