Customers say: Quick response

"Once again, Josh from DMV Wildlife and Pest Solutions is my hero. I unfortunately found a bat in my basement which was trapped in a glue trap. Josh came out, examined my whole house for other bats, and offered some easy suggestions for how to keep another bat from potentially getting in. Luckily this bat was on a solo mission, but this was the second time I have called Josh and he is the best in the business! Very honest, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone for pest and wildlife issues!"

"10 Stars for Ned Stevens gutter cleaning!! I had small trees growing in my gutters and the front gutter was coming loose. They cleaned the gutters, fixed the gutter where it was loose and they bagged all the trash up. They did not charge extra for the loose gutter either. Nice and neat and EXCELLENT service!! "All Star came out because of an ant problem and I wanted to get a yearly contract with a reputable company. The technician, Ihab, was professional and very thorough. Not only did he address the ant problem, but answered my questions about chemical and organic treatment. He also checked around the entire perimeter of the house and went up into my attic to inspect for rodents, which he did find evidence of. He spent close to an hour inspecting everything and talking to me about the pest management plan. He even moved my stove away from the wall to check for pests there! I've used several of the big name companies and never have they been so thorough. We'll see how the rest of the year goes, but I'm impressed so far."

"First Solutions fixed a small issue we had with a woodpecker pecking holes in our house. Carlos was very knowledgable and reviewed our property's needs as our past pest service got bought out and we needed a new service. He suggested things we could do to prevent pests. He wasn't pushy about what we 'should' get. We felt very comfortable using First Solutions in that they know what they are doing."

FAQs for small animal pest control service projects in Baltimore, MD

Self-removal attempts using store-bought traps can cost $50, but require personal time investment and knowledge of proper handling techniques. While DIY methods might work for isolated cases, professionals bring expertise in identifying all entry points, implementing effective deterrents, and safely handling wildlife.

Consider your comfort level with wildlife management and the potential health risks—armadillos can carry disease—before deciding between professional services or personal intervention.

Most homeowners see initial results within two to five days after professional trap placement, particularly with single-animal situations. However, multiple factors can extend this timeline, including the number of animals present, weather conditions affecting activity patterns, and the complexity of your property layout.

Properties with established armadillo populations might require one to two weeks of active trapping. Discuss realistic timeframes with your wildlife specialist during the initial consultation to set appropriate expectations.

Filling and repairing burrows adds $75 to $110 per hole to your total project cost. While some comprehensive service packages include minor repairs, extensive landscape restoration requires a separate payment.

These repair costs cover materials like topsoil, sod, or concrete patching compounds, plus the labor to properly restore the damaged areas. Before finalizing any service agreement, clarify exactly which repair services are included and which will incur additional charges.

While armadillos remain active throughout the year in many regions, scheduling removal during less busy seasons for wildlife control companies might secure slightly better rates. Fall and winter months often see reduced demand for these services, potentially offering more scheduling flexibility and competitive pricing.

However, the most cost-effective approach is addressing armadillo issues promptly when first noticed, regardless of season, as delaying can lead to more extensive damage and higher ultimate costs.
