"The employee who was trouble-shooting the problem could not pinpoint the exact problem. So he contacted his boss-the owner--who promptly came out. He knew it was a wiring problem but was unable to pinpoint where in the wiring the problem was. So we then discussed prices of a new unit in case it couldn't be repaired. He later emailed me an estimate for the cost of fixing the problem (still not specifically identified) which was extremely high: $460.00--far beyond my ability to pay. I asked my friends and eventually found someone who knew a lot about air condidtioners & wiring and he and I together were able to trouble shoot & find the exact location of the severed wires which were not difficult or time consuming to find. My air conditioner has been running just fine ever since. I saved $370 by getting involved in the trouble shooting. Tarpy was professional and responsive but highly overpriced with this particular problem."

"Mike is one of the best service people I've ever encountered. He explained the issue with our oven completely so that I understood the problem. He didn't try to sell be a bunch of extra unnecessary services. He was kept his appointments and communicated with us regarding parts orders to let us know when he would be able to complete the repair. It's rare these days to find a repairman who is not trying to up sell you or rip you off. Mike is one of the rare people out there who values his reputation and stands behind his work. I highly recommend him."

"We purchased the Big Deal to have the Bathroom design.  They came and did the design as expected.  The person they sent out did not sit well with us, and we will not have them back.  We have spoken directly with the provider about the issue.  Additionally, their estimate to do the work was significantly higher than others.  
The 3-D design and ideas they gave us were nice.  I would not use the provider for anything else


Update....the provider has called to try to make this situation right. I appreciate their desire to follow up on negative customer service. We'll see if they follow through with their promises

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"i paid for 200 dollars worth of plumbing for 70 dollars.  I then brought them to my condo to do the main repair of a frozen faucet but they did not bring the insurance papers they were told to bring so they could not work on the project.  When I asked if they would come back later when they obtained the proper paperwork they said no without charging addition.  They said that the two repairs they had already done used up my 200 dollars worth.  They sent less than 25 minutes on these repairs.  They also failed the previous appointment they made saying they had an emergency."
