"My old water heater went out yesterday and of course leaked water all over. I shut it off and stopped the leaking. Called early this morning looking for someone to install a new one. Jim was actually sent over by another plumber who could not get to my job right away. Jim showed up, looked at the job, we talked about the options and he gave me a bid. Let to get the new water heater. We back in about thirty minutes. He had to make some changes to the water and gas lines. Added shut offs and installed new one. Took the time to explain operation and maintenance of the new one. Cleaned up the work site. Removed all debris and old water heater. I was impressed with his work and his attitude.

"I have called Mr. Lopez for help with several projects and he always quotes a project for repair if possible and then goes to replacement if a reasonable fix is not an option. In this case, he replaced my garbage disposal unit with a new one, cleaned out my dryer vents to the outer wall, and then verified I have good insulation in my attic but that a cooling fan would not work up there related to my HOA rules. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"I am a handyman myself, but some things are difficult to do by myself when shutting water off to an entire building with time constraints. I hired Pedro at RT plumbing, and he was able to come out to the jobsite with another one of his plumbers and knock out a laundry valve box replacement in a very timely and professional manner. The work was done correctly, and also important as well.... clean. Every line was wiped down after all the copper was sweated to a polished finish. Pedro and his apprentice got the job done same day which was great, too, and in only a couple hours. I would definitely recommend RT Plumbing and Pedro to anyone needing an experienced plumber that's prompt and does a professional job."
