Fortunately, our home inspector was there to share the additional evidence with the exterminator. Ultimately, the exterminator quoted us over $1,000 for treatment ("a deal"), but he said that before proceeding, the sellers would need to clear their garage so that the exterminator could conduct a more thorough inspection. <br> <br>We engaged a second exterminator to conduct a follow-up inspection, and he (a) did not charge us for the inspection, (b) completed it without requiring that the sellers clear their garage, (c) quoted us less than $1,000 for treatment, and (d) generally inspired more confidence. <br>"
