"I had some water collecting in my hot water heater pan, and had R Plumber come out. The pros: They come right away when I called first thing in the morning, they had the tools to fix the issue quickly, and the price was about where I suspected it would be. The cons: The first diagnostic was that my (less than two years old) water heater was leaking. When I told them that didn't make sense, they then did some more investigating and realized the condensation line from my AC unit wasn't draining out of my condo and was backing up into my pan, which was correct, however the suggestion was that the installation of my water heater was correct and that the heater and pan needed to be elevated so the water didn't back up. When I again said that didn't make sense as this was my second summer with the AC running and I hadn't had an issue before, they said there was a possibility the line was clogged. I had mentioned that someone in my building had a similar issue at the beginning of the conversation, but it seemed to take a long time to get to the actual issue, which is what I had suspected from the very beginning. While we ultimately got to the heart of the problem and fixed it quickly, it was a frustrating for me to have to push back so much to get to the right answer."

"From the moment I called them, the operator was clear, polite, and had a tech come out that same afternoon. It's great to have a company that uses many technical features to make the waiting for tech painless. I got a text notifying me that I'm next in line and asking to confirm if I'll be home. Then I got a text saying that the technician was on his way with his name, a picture of him, and with actual up to the minute tracking of his actual location. When he arrived, he wore booties in the house, very professional, gave us a free estimate, and after approval from us he got right to work. We were very happy with Adam's service and will definitely use F.H. Fur again."

FAQs for drain line breakage camera locate projects in Fairfax, VA

French drain repairs generally include cleaning to remove clogs or replacing damaged pipes. Drain cleaning costs between $150 and $200 per hour. If replacement is necessary, the cost to install a French drain can run up to $5,000, depending on its type and location.

Trenchless sewer replacement costs between $60 and $250 per foot but is usually not an option for interior plumbing lines. Plumbers typically only use this approach for outside sewer pipes.

Unless you can see a clog through a drain or cracked pipe under a sink, you may be unable to identify its location. To find the problem, your plumber may test your water pressure at specific points or use a sewer camera.

Common signs that a drain pipe requires repair include slowly draining water, backups, regular clogs, strange gurgling sounds, or foul odors from the drain. Also, contact a plumber if you can see rust or oxidation on a drain pipe under the sink or in the basement.

The cost to repair a sink drain pipe can be as low as $100, covering the cost of a plumber’s labor for one to two hours. If the pipe needs to be replaced or is difficult to access, costs could climb up to $500.
