He was knowledgeable, thorough, persistent in finding the cause of the problem, neat, helpful, and kind. He found and explained the problem, then fixed it completely (until or unless the same drain block happens again). It took some hard work and time but he was patient and efficient in getting it done. The microwave turned out to be an electrical issue but he explained the possible causes in an understandable way. "I've used Randy Lane a couple times in the past for minor leaks or clogs and was always happy with their work. I was a little disappointed by this latest experience and it was only for an estimate. I was more than a little annoyed that Brian showed up 45 minutes before his scheduled appointment time - especially since I still had another provider at the house providing an estimate. He spent less than 10 minutes looking at the plumbing, didn't take any measurements and spent more time writing up the estimate than he did looking at the existing plumbing. His estimate was more than a $1,000 over the other three estimates I received - perhaps if he'd spent more time asking me questions or reviewing the existing plumbing he would have been able to provide an estimate closer to the other three we got."

"My father-in-law came over on Sunday night and attempted to patch the leak with plumbers putty and duct tape. We turned off the water to the house just in case. I called early Monday morning to make an appointment, and was told they couldn't come until Tuesday morning. But early Monday afternoon they called back and said they'd had a cancellation and could come between 2 and 4 pm. The plumber called shortly after and said he could meet me at the house in 15 minutes and was there on the dot. He was very pleasant and helpful, knew just what to do, and suggested that if this would happen again electrical tape would work better than duct tap and explained why. I appreciated that helpful hint. He was very tidy, always wiped his feet going in and out of the basement. He replaced a section of pipe and showed me the bad one and suggested causes for the leak, if I wanted to submit this to insurance. The whole job was done in 45 minutes, and I am very pleased with the work and the experience. There was no attempt to sell more than was needed, and I didn't feel intimidated or conned in any way. I would definitely call them again."
