"I needed teo toilets replaced. He replaced the one with expertise and was good about taking the toilet out without spilling any water throughout my home. Volunteered to do research on installing the other toilet due to pipe issues. Overall, great work. Would definitely use him again. "

"Obviously I had concern over possible expense of new heat pump system, but Phil visited us Monday morning, opened and flushed out the system Freon gas, replaced a valve and low and behold, system works great. This is one of 3 heat pumps we have on service contract with HGH and no matter what weather conditions persist, HGH will pull out stops to restore service promptly. We highly recommend HGH for AC support. In addition Phil recently recharged our Sub Zero refrigerator when another company only wanted to sell us a new $9,000 refrigerator. HGH has a polite, talented tech team as well as professional office staff. Great company to deal with. My son had HGH install a complete thermo based heat pump system at their home several years ago and they are very satisfied with cost efficiency and HGH maintenance of system. In fact my son recommendation is why we selected HGH for our service."

"We've used Alexanders a handful of times since moving into our house in 2013.  They fixed a few leaks and replaced our well pump (after diagnosing the problem and letting us know we needed a new one).  They came back out to fix a pipe later that day and then return a third time to solve a sediment build up issue secondary to the well pump replacement.  They are affordable and trustworthy. <br />"

"It was a good experience from the start. The customer service representative who answered my call was pleasant, professional, and efficient. I was surprised to get an appt. within a few days of my call. Nick was the tech who responded. He explained everything step by step through his visit. He spent an hour looking over the entire unit rather than suggesting a "quick fix" like the previous repairman. I could have had my unit up an running for about $150, but I opted for the 24 point cleaning and maintenance package which increased the cost by about $200. We have lived in the house for 5 years, and the gas fireplace has been one of our favorite features. However, we didn't know it could look so good until Nick worked his magic. We will be signing up for the service contract which seems to be an especially good deal. This relatively small business seems to really have its act together."

"It went very well. The guys from Moon Air were clean, they wore uniforms. They used booties when traversing the interior of our home. They showed up early on several occasions, and moved our propane gas feed when our gas company changed the location of our propane tank, all inclusive. We also received a one year membership to their premium club. I would definitly recommend them."

"The good thing was that they came and diagnosed the problem quickly and correctly.   This was not an easy problem.  I thought there was something wrong with my sump pump because it was running non stop.  THey figured there was a leak from blue poly pipes in the front yard.  I was skeptical but they were exactly right.  They came the next day to dig up the yard and replace the pipes and my sump pump stopped running.  It was expensive, but they made the right call. <br />"

"I have literally been having problems with the pipes in my bathroom leaking into my dining room ceiling for years! Everytime I thought I got it fixed, a spot would appear. Finally, I called Sheridan, as the suggestion of a neighbor. They were quick to respond, and knew right away what the problem was. They were at my house for 2 days, the workers were professional and pleasant. They explained exactly what the problem was. They were neat and careful. Most importantly, I have not had one leak since they fixed it. Thank you, Sheridan Plumbing!!! <br />"

"Hooked up our kitchen sink and dishwasher, demolished old bathroom walls and put up hardi backer for us to tile on our own. Moved toilet flange and redid vanity plumbing to 2 separate plumbing for his/hers sinks. A little on the expensive side and process from start to finish took a little to long (ordered tub beginning of Jan...plumber went on vacation a week..Took another week to install tub and do drywall and hardibacker. Owner could have been a little more customer friendly at times and didnt show up on time a few times. Could have kept us a little more in the loop of the tub being delayed or when he was going to show up. Told my husband the first tub was broke, but never told me anything about that when he didnt show up all day and I questioned when he was coming out multiple times, when said he would be there at 8-9am the week before...came at 4pm (had to take a day off work..lack of communication). Complained about multiple contractors working on the house at the time and said he could do a better job..just too confident with his abilities. Will probably look elsewhere for further projects. His assistant was very nice and friendly <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in North East, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
