Customers say: Quick response

"Loved working with Zia Restoration team . Previous contractor was incompetent, but Zia provided a detailed estimate, explained the reasoning behind each, and helped us work with insurance to insure we had an agreed approach and costs on all parties parts. Then followed up the estimate process with an on schedule and on budget repair. Could not ask for anything more."

"After seeing what I needed done, we had to purchase sheetrock, so they followed me to Lowe's so I could buy it, and load it on their truck. They followed me home, and they cut out the bad piece, cut a new piece, and put it up in the ceiling, and screwed, taped and mudded it in. <br /> There were two guys, who worked for about two hours, including the trip to Lowe's. They cleaned up their mess, and the repair was ready to finish and paint in two hours. <br />"

"The work described above is the completion of building a basement under a pre-existing summer home in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Prior to this work, all other work (initial building of the structure in 1971, all interior finishing work, insulating, wiring, plumbing, etc, and then excavating under that existing building while holding it up with jacks, and building the basement walls, installing windows, doors, plumbing and electrical) had been done by me. As you may imagine, my standards are very high (I grew up in a family of general contractors in another part of the country) So, with that background, I can knowledgeably and confidently state that the work performed by Juan Baca and his crew was performed very professionally (exceeding all my expectations for quality) and considerably below my cost estimate. His work schedule was timely and efficiently executed. I am very pleased and proud of the work he did!"

"The salesperson was very friendly and helpful. She came to the house and measured everything involved and later provide drawings that illustrated the proposed design. The employees at the showroom were very helpful and helped for an extended amount of time in selecting the cabinet design I wanted. When the cabinets arrived, the installers came out within days and installed the cabinets. They took great care in making sure the measurements were correct so that the new countertops would fit properly. They also went beyond the scope of the job and provided me with some extra trim work that enhanced the quality of the project. All of the cabinet doors were just as described and the correct size. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Taos, NM

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
