"Thomas (the technician) quickly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher and recommended a replacement part. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. I would highly recommend Neli as a low cost alternative to expensive appliance repairs."

"Was eager to provide quality service at a reasonable price. Phil and his partner were prompt, courteous, and respectful. I felt very comfortable allowing them into my home. I will definitely utilize their services. I have already referred them to a close friend who was looking to replaced some of their appliances."

"Update: Will NOT recommend. 5/4/12. It's been 3 months and he hasn't returned to finish the work he committed to. When I started using him a couple of years ago he was very responsive, but it has slipped steadily. He's now not responding to email or phone calls. Also blew off an appointment he agreed to this past Monday. No show. No call. No replies. I've been very patient: I don't want to have to look for someone else, but now have to. Did good work on this date and deserved the review. However, I won't use again.

We noticed our dryer was taking longer to dry clothes. It had been 2 years since the last duct cleaning. We also had drywall staining behind the dryer, all the way up to the ceiling. Had a couple vent companies quote on cleaning the ducts, but they wanted no part of the water staining issue. Jeff came out and in short order, determined that my existing dryer ductwork in the attic was causing the moisture issue. The duct ran halfway down the attic to the roof vent. The moisture was running back down the duct and leaking out of a seam. The accumulated moisture also caused excessive lint buildup. Jeff put in a new vent directly above the dryer and ran pvc pipe from the dryer to the new roof vent. He also removed the old vent, sealed the hole and put new shingles in place. Looks great. He also put a cleanout access in the attic attic pvc, so I can easily cleanout the pvc duct if/when needed. Jeff is very personable, professional and goes the extra mile."

"Dane is wonderful! He was on time, professional, thorough, and very pleasant. He turned a crappy situation into a good experience, which is hard to do, and I will only use this company in the future. If you're shopping for appliance repair, look no further."

"All work that was under contract was done. If the service provider was unable to fix the appliance, Choice Home Warranty replaced it. Everything went well and I am very pleased with my warranty company. I have and will continue to refer to refer people to Home Choice Warranty."

"Very good. They take care of your appliances. They only charge my $75.00 per call, including the parts. They use refurbished parts most of the time. I would grade it basically to an B, I got the best one going according to most people. There is one in Colorado that will covers everything, but they are only located in Colorado. It can also take three days, or five days, it depends on the time of the year. With air conditioning, it can take more in the Summer time, because I am in Florida. Most of the time they are not that bad. The cover most of my major appliances, my washer, dryer, my pool. My daughter also uses the same company, they have done her washer, dryer, and air conditioner."

"Richard is excellent! The only problem with Richard is that he is so busy that he still hasn't had time to get on my next project of levelling the floor, installing the heat strips and setting 500 sq ft of 6x36 ceramic tile. He's going to start that next weekend and I'm sure that I will be giving you another review. All joking aside, Richard is very professional. He has very good equipment which says knowledge and success. He priced the job low and still did several extra things that I asked him to do while he was there. He asked for no extra money. Being a business owner myself, I felt that the job was so well done that I increased the total by 30% and still felt that I was underpaying. (Update) First let me say that Richard is an outstanding human being. I would trust him with my wallet. He works very hard to please the Customer. We are doing a complete remodel of our guest house and so far Richard has done the entire bedroom. That includes sheetrock, tile floor, paint and trim. As I stated in the previous review, he did a great job hanging the rock and did it so cheap that I paid him extra. The tile in that bedroom, about 450SqFt., is 6" X 36" on a very unlevel concrete slab. He worked his butt off getting that tile down. It wasn't perfect but I don't think anyone could have done better with that very difficult tile job. So, the sheetrock and tile were very good but then came the painting. The painting was really bad. I think that he got behind his scheduling because of the high difficulty of the tile job and rushed the paint. He chose to spray the walls and there is overspray everywhere. He put down tarps but they mare really for brush and roller work, not sprayers. Paint also shows the flaws in the sheetrock finishing and there were more quite a few. Richard worked diligently trying to fix them. I actually felt sorry for him, paid him and let him get on to his next job. I have another painter coming in to repair the paint job and I am working nights with paint thinner to clean the tile myself. I would still use Richard on some projects now that I know his skill level. I just expected too much from a man that bills himself as a handyman. All that said, if you have any tile job, Richard is as good as any contractor out there. I don't want to cost Richard any work. I own my business and admit that I have high expectations from other self-employed businessmen."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Thomasville, GA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
