"This was on a Sunday afternoon. While attempting to repair our toilet the supply line valve broke off. Water everywhere! Had to shut off the Main so no water to the entire house! We called three "24/7" plumbing services and no one was available. One suggested we call T&J. While we did have to wait they were able to call someone in to come out. He arrived, had to locate parts for our older plumbing and go pick them up. Got it replaced and for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and would use again!"

"Called Ron to repair kitchen faucet. He thought it was debris build up in the lines; which would require turning the inside main water supply off. Due to having an old, out-of-date valve handle, when he turned the water off, the handle broke, meaning no water in the entire house. He then had to find the outside water shut-off, so he could repair the inside valve. Our house had a completely different shut-off than our neighbors and we had to call the emergency after-hours water number to make sure we were shutting off the correct one. Ron wanted to make sure because if it was the wrong one and he cut the pipe it would have flooded our entire basement. He stayed and waited until the water guy got here and then fixed the valve and made sure we had water before he went home. Ron could have just left, but he made sure we had water before he left. Thats great customer service. I will definitely hire him again!"

"We initially thought that there was a leak in the line for which a quote was provided. Once the line was uncovered to repair the leak it was discovered that the entire line (lead pipe which had been installed when the house was built in 1967) was corroded and would probably continue to spring leaks even after the first was repaired. The contractor recommended that the entire line be replaced although he was more than willing to repair only the leak for the initial estimate of $195. I agreed with his recommendation.
The repair was expected to take several days so the contractor ran a temporary supply line to the house so that we would not be without water.
We were totally satisfied with the work that was completed and that the employees were professional and courteous.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
