"I honestly could not be happier! The quality of the work is exactly what anyone would hope for - no unwanted dribbles/spots of paint anywhere. They protected my floors, doors, windows, crown moldings, baseboards, large fireplace & mantel, and removed all the switch plates and outlet covers before painting. I should mention that my home was empty when the painting was done but I would expect the same level of quality and protection had there been furniture. Planning was right-on too: they didn't underestimate the amount of time it would take to do all the work and allowed proper time for drying before applying the 2nd coat. Their price was competitive as well and included the paint."

"Initially impressed with reviews of Mr. Harts and his crew. They did not disappoint in any respect. Derek Harts did all of the measuring and addressed our concerns. Mr. Hart’s kept us updated on the progress of our bow window (built for our space). He called us when the window arrived, but the stormy weather was not cooperative. Checked in with us until the rain let up and then scheduled the removal of our old bow window and the installation of our beautiful new window! Mr. Harts and his crew were very prompt, patient with ALL of our questions, very knowledgeable/professional, all measurements were correct the first time, extremely heavy window. This time the big bow window was installed correctly with overhead cable supports and shield from top of window up to sealed soffit. I hosed it down with strongest stream from garden hose to simulate hurricane force, and not one drop of water was observed inside. There was some rot from where the old window had been leaking and they removed the siding from below the window and replaced the rotten wood and reinstalled the siding. The first thing we noticed was that we could stand in front of our bow window and not feel the heat from the sun that kept us from using this space! We would not hesitate to use them again, worth every penny!!!!"

"We had met Marc before when he was working for another company.   We were thrilled to hear that he was still in the area and called him to do an estimate for our patio doors that were recently replaced.   We get alot of debris blown against the side of house where the doors are located, and he had installed safety film on the previous doors several years ago.   He arrived for the estimate when he said he would and provided a written estimate before leaving the house.   Since he had to order the film, we set a date for later in the week for installation.   Again, he arrived when he said he would, was efficient in completing the job and left the area very clean.   He is a consummate professional and I felt very honest when we were discussing the type of film that would be best for my home.  My husband and I will certainly hire him again. <br />"

Two days later they did my siding and windows. </p> <p>Excellent cleanup. </p> <p>They were not the lowest price, but were close. "the guys who showed up bought company. the guys doing the bid are the ones who do the job and that was very refreshing. their attention to detail as well as spelling out everything in the bid was great. their prices are very reasonable. I have met my share of hack and whack people in the place, but can assure you these guys are not in that category....strongly recommend"

"The owners of Mocean contracting are delightful. Kevin and April are organized, reliable, truthful, and good, clear communicators. I felt they went above and beyond to restore, replace, and remodel our home. They were timely and trustworthy beyond reproach. If I need help in the future and they're not available I'll be very sad."

"Mike and his crew were very punctual. I had received bids/quotes from 3 other contractors, one of them quoted the exact same windows, and Mike's quote was the best. The crew was professional, courteous, fast and cleaned up after themselves. The job was planned to take 2 days and was completed as planned. I highly recommend Pro Siding and Windows. p.s. I actually had Mike repair a neighbor's siding for me a few years ago when my stepson damaged it. Mike did that job in about 4hrs, which included removing all the siding from my neighbor's chimney, replacing a bottom edge/corner piece, then putting all the siding back on the chimney of the two-story house."

"To date windows have still not arrived. When 45 days past we called Window World they said and quot;We got very busyand quot; and our windows still have not arrived. We have not received a call from the company. We have to initiate the calls, they are not following up. So far, the sales pitch has been excellent, but the master company has failed to deliver in the allotted time. Will let you know when the product arrives if the windows are as promised. We have another order pending, but will wait to see how good these windows are before doing any further ordering. Seems that this company should be more attuned to their customers. I'm happy, that in this economy they are busy, but would appreciate it if they would contact me, rather than having me contact them. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Wilmington, NC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
