"Cleaned out the main sewer even though it didn't need cleaning. What was supposed be cleaned was the catch basin. Crew came over could not open the lid, told me that it would be up to me to open it. Then they would com back. You would think that they would how all the tools and no how to open any and all catch basin. They never called me back or followed up with me. I will never ever use them again. Very disappointed."

"They thoroughly diagnosed the problem before doing any work. They understand exactly what's going on through equipment use of pressurized smoke, cameras and really just overall experience in handling sewer matters. I also had a rat problem that was connected to this, so they tailored a solution that covered all these issues. They can handle it and know how to address the situation without extra expenses. Everything is done to code and part of the issue was that the previous owners had done some sewer work that was not to code and that caused most of the problems associated with that repair. I really liked their professionalism and response. Their entire crew was very knowledgeable and very friendly and able to answer a lot of questions. They spent a lot of time, at the beginning, to diagnose the problem. That for me sets them apart from other companies. Other companies wanted to come in and just digging up and jack hammering up the floor without really knowing what the problem was. The workers cleaned up after themselves. "So, it's noon, I have 25 people coming to my house for dinner and my kitchen sink gets clogged.  Oh, by the way, it's freaking Thanksgiving!!!!
I scan Angie's List and a few other rating services and come across several well-rated plumbers.  A few frantic phone calls later (voice mail on the first three calls) and I stumble upon Jon.  He picks up the phone (what a surprise!) and tries to walk me through a fix over the phone.  After five minutes of back-and-forth, Jon finally says, "I'm can be over in twenty minutes."
Now, I'm not really in a position to negotiate and I figure it's going to be crazy expensive.  Jon shows up, on-time, dressed like he is heading to a family dinner, which I'm assuming he was.
An hour later, the sink is draining and Jon is cleaning up after making me promise to never peel potatoes into the disposal again.  He then gives me the bill.  Not only did he not charge me an outrageous price, but I've paid substantially more for a plumber on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:00pm for less work.
I can't speak to all the reviews on his work, but I would venture to guess that there isn't one other plumber on the planet earth that would have taken care of a first-time customer like Jon did today.  He is the best plumber in the Chicagoland area, in my humble opinion.
