"It went very well. Patrick explained everything he was doing and what my options were. I never felt he was trying to generate unnecessary work. He also understood the urgency and came out on a Sunday morning of a holiday weekend to handle the follow up. I would strongly recommend him and he'll be the first one I call if I need plumbing services in the future."

"Just great. Joe called just minutes after my posting and was able to come out within an hour to provide an estimate. The pricing was very good so I asked when he could complete the job, he said now !!! Yahoo. Work was done as soon as he was able to purchase the Rheem tank, very quickly, efficiently, cleanly. What a great experience even considering"

"Excellent, as always. They have done SO much work for us over the years - 13 years since I have been here at our condo. We have two catch basins that need to be rodded and cleaned as preventive maintenance regularly. They have also done some work for us when we've had tree roots grow into our sewer lines. They were far less expensive than other quotes and did the work just as well. They are terrific. Angel, who always services our condo building is the best!"

"To begin with, we had a plumber that has done work on the building before. We called them today to ask them to come out and conduct the repairs. They said that they could come out by 2:00. Then they called and said that something had come up and that they would not be able to come out until 6:00. But, at that point, they would have to charge us overtime. Nice! They also said that they were worried about the size of the project and that they would probably have to order parts and not be able to finish until Thursday. Please keep in mind that have no gas (hot water, stoves, ovens, washer and dryers) until the gas is turned back on after the gas company inspects the repairs. So it's now 4:30 and we are scrambling. I talked to several plumbers: one who does not conduct gas repairs, one who could not accommodate us until Friday, and one who was willing come out tonight -- until he learned that we live in Hyde Park. (Newsflash: Hyde Park is not a third world country. The President of the free world lives four blocks away.) And then I am referred to Jon. I talked to him at 4:40. He asked very targeted questions: What did the gas company do? Did they mark the leaks? Did they lock the gas? Did they provide us with a "yellow ticket?" What size are our pipes? I had confidence immediately. He understood the urgency and was at the building in an hour and a half at 6:30. The problem was more extensive than we originally thought. He provided two quotes. The first was for repairing the four leaking seams. He said that this would be the least expensive but, with the pressure on the pipes, it would most likely result in leaks at other seams down the line. Instead he suggested refitting all of the seams. He said that another option, the most expensive, would be to pull out all of the old (103 years) pipe (some of which was no longer functional) and replace it with new pipe. He said that although this would be the gold plate solution, that the pipe was actually in pretty good shape and that the refitting would be the best solution. Note on price: In this case responsiveness is priceless. However, let’s face it price does still matter. We had a quote from our regular plumber for the repair of three of the four leaks – only one area, no refitting, no new pipes. Jon SMOKED these guys on price. My guess is that we would have paid 60% more if we had not met Jon. And that would have meant a special assessment for our small building. We hired Jon on the spot and he had two more plumbers at the building immediately. I went down to check on things at 10:00 (PM) and I walked into a pile of pipes. Apparently, due to age, it would have been impossible to separate the joints without breaking the pipes. So, instead, he replaced ALL of the pipe and honored his first quote for refitting. COME ON!!!! And they even removed all the old piping that was no longer functional (gas lanterns and other random lines). They wrapped up the project at 11:50 (PM – midnight). And even at this hour they spray painted all of the pipes so they looked the same, hauled all of the old pipes into the alley for scavengers, and completely swept the basement. He is coming back out on Friday to provide us an estimate for a leaking water pipe that he identified right over all of our electrical boxes and to help us identify and triage our 103-year old plumbing issues. STOP LOOKING and call Jon for your plumbing needs."
