"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

After searching around for someone to pressure wash our house and driveway, I eventually went to Angie?s List to find a pressure washing company and saw all the exceptional comments about A&K Power Washing.  They provided an estimate within 24 hours of contacting them and we were grateful for their promptness because it was getting late in the season and we needed the work done right away.  They have just finished cleaning our vinyl siding, concrete driveway, porch, steps, and deck and I can confirm all the comments I read as accurate.  Professional, environmentally conscientious, courteous, responsible: they were all that and more.  The work was above and beyond our expectations.  We are completely satisfied with the results.  Our only wish is that Angie has an A+ rating because we would have gladly given A&K that score (as noted by another customer as well).  Our place looks great.  I would highly recommend this company.  Thanks A&K for a job well done.

"This was the third time we have used Murphy for electrical work in our home.  Could not have gone better.  After negotiating a great price with Seth and Sean (with Angie's List discount) to run two dedicated electrical lines from one side of our house (where the main circuit box is located) all the way to the other side where the garage is, Jeff, the master technician, executed flawlessly.  He cut a minimum number of small holes in the downstairs ceiling, located adequate space to run the wires next to existing ducting, then managed to get both wires fished all the way through, some 50 feet, no easy task.  He then expertly installed two new 20 amp circuit breakers in our main box at one end, and appropriate code tubing and new GFI outlets/plugs at the other (garage) end, one dedicated to power a new sump pump we recently had put in to remedy a leaky garage floor., and a second one for dedicated use in recharging our electric Prius plug-in.   Once the electric work was fully installed, Jeff cleaned up afterward, including putting the ceiling dry-wall cutouts back in place, leaving only the plastering/priming/painting for me to do. We've been very pleased with the quality of Murphy's work all three times they've been to our house, their pricing is excellent, and we've recommended them to our neighbors, who have also used them.  The family approach is refreshing, and the technical excellence of Sean's electricians is impressive.  Have recommended them and will continue to recommend and use them.

"Alford removed a carpenter bee damaged porch deck and replaced the 6 x 25 foot decking under the existing roof. The project was designed and installed with quality materials and professional workmanship. In the Charleston area, Alford was the most prompt and reliable company we dealt while trying to obtain bids for the deck replacement."

"I found them on Angie’s List. He showed me pictures of everything and what he took out. He showed me the work and it wasn’t like made up or anything. He took pictures before and after on the roof of the part that was rotten and after he redid it. I was happy with him. I looked afterwards and there was no complaint. They did it in a timely manner, like they said they would. There were rain delays and it wasn’t their problem. They never tried to change the price on me. They cleaned up like nails and stuff in the driveway. I checked the driveway and there weren’t any nails or anything. They did a pretty good job. They did fine and it was a good job. I did have other estimates and they were okay. They called and asked if anything was wrong, and it has been a year. They got delayed and the work got a little hurried but it was damp and they couldn’t get to it. They did everything they were going to do. They didn’t try to cover and not replace certain things to make more profit, and I see all new gutters and everything."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"We had a complete house remodel done, exterior and interior, by Coal River Specialties. They removed and replaced all of the old siding and also painted the new siding and trim, painted the existing garage door (it was brown), replaced the exterior garage door, put up the light fixtures, replaced ALL of the interior Sheetrock, prepped and painted it all, replaced flooring throughout the entire home, replaced light fixtures throughout the entire house interior and exterior, built the back porch, replaced pickets on the side porch to match the back porch, put up railings and pickets on the front porch and so so so many other things that are required when remodeling a house. We absolutely LOVE everything! They did an awesome job! Here are just a few pictures….."
