"Update - Issue has been resolved. The bitter taste was from the mineral filter (Very strong). I was looking for Costco bottle quality water with some minerals, but the mineral filter adds a VERY significant amount. The Salesperson stopped and removed the filter, and tested my water. McCowin water made it right, and offered to credit me for the mineral filter. I have had my reverse osmosis system in place for about a month now and all good. ———— Installation was good, but my review has to do more with Scot the salesperson. I received a text from him following up on the install and responded with several concerns. 1st) Water from the reverse osmosis was not crisp, and I told him it had a metallic taste to it and did not taste like Costco water, which he assured me that it would and was the major selling point for me to purchase this system. When I contacted Scot later that evening to discuss my concerns, he told me that the water would not taste like Costco brand because I chose to add minerals back into the reverse osmosis water and that if I wanted to spend more money to get the water to a Costco taste level I could. He also told me while making the sales pitch that he would come back and do a test of the water to make sure it was to my liking. When I asked about the test, he said that he was not available and had no idea when he would be back in my area. Then he abruptly ended our conversation without really addressing my concerns by saying bye, have a good evening. For peace of mind, I purchased my own water test kit/strips. I found that the water appears to be safe but it still tastes as if the metal is in the water. Be aware and be skeptical, do not just take the salesperson's word for it. If you do decide to purchase, do an independent before and after test to make sure you are getting what you paid for and requested. Once they install the system, they are on to the next."

"Western Rooter to the rescue again! I had a small underground leak which appeared to be due to a bad sprinkler valve. A sprinkler repair company determined that it was not a bad sprinkler valve and thought it was due to a leak in the main water line. Daniel and Alex dug down to find that the leak was coming from a very old (at least 36 years) broken pvc line. After much testing and head scratching to try to figure out where the water was coming from, they decided to "chase the pipe." After much digging, they found that the very old broken pvc pipe was hooked up to a sprinkler valve that was buried 18 inches underground that had not been capped--only turned off. Roots from a nearby tree had opened the valve which caused the leak--crazy! The current sprinkler system has been the same one since we moved into the house in 1988. It took 36 years for the underground leak to occur!"

"I was in dire need of a plumber because the valve that adds water to my pool was broken and it would not shut off. We had to shut off the water to my house to prevent flooding of the pool. Enter Rooter ER & Plumbing to the rescue. He was extremely knowledgeable about what was required just by looking at the picture I sent over the phone. He gave me options and quite reasonable prices. Doing the work, he was extremely efficient and thorough. He would not stop until it was up to a standard that he expected of himself for his own home. When I went out to look at/inspect his work, he was extremely patient and he explained to me everything that he had done and the benefits of getting this done. Being a complete novice in the realm of plumbing, I was extremely grateful for him taking the time to explain this to me. I was extremely happy with his work, and I would recommend him to anyone that needs a friendly neighborhood plumber."

"After discovering late on a Fri. that I had an underground leak in the main water supply line right by the shut-off valve in front of my house, I reached out to three different plumbers thru Angie. Pristine Plumbing was available to come by at 4 PM. They assessed the situation and gave me a quote of $900. I probably could have shopped around and gotten a much better rate, but the water was significant enough that I chose to have them do the work. The technician was very friendly and professional, willing to answer any question I asked. We thought the problem was fixed and he left at around 7 p.m., and about 5 minutes later, the connection blew out. I called the dispatch and they sent him right back. He spent until about 10 p.m. working to fix the problem. We left the water off overnight to make sure the seal was properly cured, and he came back at 7 a.m. Sat. to ensure we had a good seal. We turned the water back on and everything seemed to be fixed. The one cautionary note is that the technician offered to add a T joint and above ground shut-off valve connected to our landscape irrigation system. I did not ask and he did not tell me there would be an incremental charge of $300 or so, which he only shared at the time of issuing the invoice. I suggested that was not appropriate, and he applied a 10% discount against the entire invoice."
