We reviewed my options, and we determined that my system, which was not new when I inherited it a few years ago, was too old to fix for a price that made sense. Replacing the entire system cost only $250 more than repairing, so I went for it. I was at work, but my roommate was home when Kevin returned to make the repair. He said the water would be out for a couple of hours, but it was less time than that. The water has been even softer than it was before ever since. Very happy with my purchase! The grade of B for price merely means that I had not intended to pay that much; it is not meant as a criticism of AOK's prices. "From beginning to end an overall awesome experience. No deposit required and no request for any payment until the job was fully completed. Johnathan that installed our system was knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed and took pride in his work. From the time our water was tested to the install being complete was a whopping two days. I would highly recommend florida water testing if you need any kind of water treatment. Our well water turned our toilets and tubs yellow and we had the smell of rotting leaves. We didn't want to call the Culligan company because of their reputation for excessive service charges. I went into the Home Advisor site to see what other vendors charged for this kind of service but I still ended up with a Culligan servicer, Culligan Water Conditioning! We were quoted an amount that was lower than the amount we paid before so we decided to go with them. The tech rep, Steve Easters, impressed us with his efficiency and his affable nature that we decided to have him replace our filters in the future even if we know that we can save a lot by replacing them ourselves. He is one of the better technical reps we had come across during the 40+ years we have lived in the U.S. Culligan is lucky to have him."
