Rob was very thorough when he came out to provide estimate, financing options and gave good explanation of what was needed to replace my direct vent hot water tank for my condo. Rob was also the one who installed the hot water tank and did an excellent job. Direct vent hot water tanks are much more expensive than your standard hot water tank, so it was pricey. I initially found Prime Plumbing on Angie's list and I would recommend them for your plumbing needs. I'm a single female in my early 60's. "We could not be happier with the Puronics Hydronex iGen Whole home treatment system and Micromax 7000 drinking water system provided by Orbit Water Solutions. Justin, the marketing rep who sold us the system, was very professional and accommodating. Justin took about an hour to demonstrate a series of tests which reflected to quality of our water which had more chlorine and hardness than we expected. If you have concerns for lead, Orbit standard demonstration does test for it so you will need to have a separate test done. After some negotiation, we were able to settle on a deal which got us the system and financing for the next 10 years. Orbit provides annual maintenance services on the machine and there is a lifetime warranty on parts which really assured us we were making an investment to improve our water. The best part about it is that the system travels with you. For a small fee, Orbit will pack the system up and ship it to your next home if you move which was a big selling point for us. Orbit also threw in a subscription to PureSelects soap for the next 10 years which was a nice add-on. PureSelects provides every kind of soap or cleaning product you could ask for so it will be nice not to have to purchase additional soap products in the near future. Within a couple days, the installation team came out to install the system. They arrived on time but the installation took a little bit longer than expected. Turns out our the installed garbage disposal was too large to fit with the RO unit tank under the sink. Orbit was very accommodating though. Orbit purchased a new garbage disposal and installed it free of charge which I bet many companies would not have done. I highly recommend getting the larger of the under sink tanks for the RO unit. Even with the two gallon tank, my family has used up all the water in the tank. A 1 gallon tank would just not have been enough. The water in our house has been incredible since we installed the system a few months ago. We noticed an immediate impact to our skin and hair after using it and our drinking water certainly tastes better. Best of all, we feel confident in the quality of the water we use throughout the house to keep us safe and our appliances in good condition. We highly recommend the investment in the water treatment systems through Orbit."

"The kitchen drain was snaked but a vent and a clean out needed to be installed. The company that did my kitchen remodel did not do a good job. After they installed a vent and clean-out the line was snaked again. A few days later I noticed Water in another part of the house. It was a leak in the main stack. It seemed that the cast iron pipe had rusted and with the snaking, it developed a hole. My house was built in the 1920?s and this was the original stack. These plumbers were able to do it all and at a great price. Much, much less than I would have paid through some of the other plumbing companies. I will use these guys again and again. Everything was explained and I saw the problems with the pipes. I was impressed that they showed up when they said they would and if they were running a little late they would call. They are able to do the job quickly and effectively. They are and A+ in my book.

"American Home Contractors performed roof repairs for me and they were absolutely fantastic!!! We recently moved into our home. At the time of purchase, there were water stains on one of the upstairs bedroom ceilings, however, the home inspector did not note any problems with the roof. After a number of rain storms, it appeared as if the water marks were becoming darker and more prominent. After one particularly bad storm, I used a ladder to touch the ceiling and discovered that it was wet. I called a well known roofing company (not American Home Contractors) to get an estimate on repairs. After that company came out, we were advised that one of the boot seals had degraded and that we needed it replaced. (The agent who came to the house also gave us the hard sell to replace our entire roof.) I was e-mailed the repair estimate which was over $500 to replace a boot seal!! I declined to have that company perform the work on our roof and started looking for another roofing company. Enter American Home Contractors. I received a mailer from American Home Contractors which advertised repairs of boot seals for $149. I called the company to double check that the advertised cost was accurate and I was told that it was. I scheduled an appointment with them and waited to see what would happen. The day before the appointment I was provided an appointment reminder as well as the name of the technician who would be coming to the house. On the date of the appointment, I received a phone call from the tech, Paul Cox, notifying me that he was running ahead of schedule and checking to see if he could arrive at my home a bit early. Wonderful! Paul arrived early and got to work surveying the roof. He did not give me the hard sell to replace my entire roof. He was candid about issues with my roof but did not press me to undertake any additional repairs. He performed the repairs right then and there and even went above and beyond to perform some additional repairs that we did not schedule at no additional cost. Based on my experience with Paul, I felt that Paul was honest, trustworthy, hardworking and dependable. American Home Contractors will definitely be earning my business again. I cannot recommend them enough!!!"
