"Called to see if they could do an inspection for leaks and they squeezed me in the same day, which I really appreciated. The gentlemen from Crew were courteous and professional, and did not seem rushed to get out even though they came after hours. They did a thorough job and even showed me how to check the meter for signs of leaks myself, which I really appreciated. They really went above and beyond. I would recommend them to anyone!"

"We have a neighborhood requirement for he appliances, we have had multiple outages due to the output overpowering the componants resulting in loss of refrigerant or worse. Mr. Hobbs and employees come out promptly and document all failures to the manufacturer, all free under warranty. There has been one occasion where the employee did not file the paperwork, Mr. Hobbs went back to reflect that issue. He has even called me to schedule an appointment for a time he would be in the neighborhood to replace a componet of the unit before it failed on ours because it was affecting many others. This was leading into a bad mid-summer heat wave and cemented my trust in the company. I now realize why our builder recommends A-1 Hobbs. <br />"

"Their customer services representatives were in constant communication with me leading up to the arrival of the plumber. Once he arrived he went above and beyond to make sure the problems were solved and even towel dried the floor of my bathroom before leaving. He did all of this in 1 service hour! Excellent service!"

"We are completely satisfied with them. They have been servicing us for quite a few years now. They guy that comes out is knowledgable. One time he discovered a gas leak we didn't know about and he took care of it right then, he even called and let them know that he wouldn't make his next appointment so they could send someone else because he wanted to make sure this was fixed for us."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Aiken, SC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
