"Mr. Jesus Herrera did a wonderful job on our broken garage door. He fixed it, changed the coils and replaced the door strip. It’s like new now. I highly recommend this business as he was fair, punctual and very professional in his work."

"Steve showed up on time, and went to work straight away... They went to work straight away and before I knew it, they had taken down the old ugly door... and installed the new door.  They took the old door pieces away so I didn't have to deal with the disposal... They were done so quickly and worked neatly in incredible heat... When I went to refresh the cold beverages I had offered them as they began, the door was done and our home looked SOOooo much better... !!! <br /> <br />"

"It went pretty good but there are/were problems with the install. The astragal on the bottom of the door continues to roll-up as the door closes. A crew returned to address this issue but it still exists."

"One pool claim was specifically excluded by the contract provisions. One pool claim was difficult to work through (leaking check valves), The last pool claim went very smoothly, very quickly, and with a good service provider. This involved replacing the motor on the pool filter pump. There was no dispute in work-scope. The service provider was very busy, so it was a full week from failure to repair. Luckily I could still circulate water using the waterfall so the pool did not breed excessive algae. The A/C claim was a disappointment because in order to get what I needed, I had to settle for a payout vs. a repair. Of course, the payout was extremely low (based on their high-volume wholesale rates) vs. my retail cost for repairs. Furthermore, the A/C contract provisions limit the refrigerant refill amount. I paid several hundred dollars more to refill my unit after the repair. Thankfully, the A/C repair was early/ pre-season, so the time to settle the claim and replace the unit was acceptable."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Alamo, TX

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
