"Polar Bear offered a competitive quote, and what seemed a good solution for a somewhat tricky roof install for our AC. Problem is that we asked for a higher ton unit, fearing their initial recommendation would not be strong enough, but they did not follow through on that and installed a smaller unit. Lo and behold the AC does not work sufficiently for our home. They say it is because of poor duct work in our older home. That may be part of it, but the system cools worse than our old one did, before it conked out. After spending $10k on this system just a couple years ago, we just spent ANOTHER 10k for installation of supplemental AC systems (by another company) so our house can actually make it through the DC summer. Now our main floor cools great, but the upstairs, which relies on the AC system that Polar Bear installed, still struggles. I've had Polar Bear come out multiple times to see there is anything they could do to make the AC work better, and other than top up coolant, they haven't offered solutions. I'd not use them again, had more positive experience with another company that I just also reviewed here."

"Our AC died last week and the first company provided us 3 replacement options. We selected the middle option ($16,000) and signed the contract, which provided us a 5 day cancellation period. Installation was scheduled for Friday. I solicited other companies quotes using the estimate provided by the first company and all declined stating I needed to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, etc. Our inside temperature was 98 degrees. Advanced Environment Solutions provided us an unbinding estimate of $9,600. a better warranty and immediately dispatched a technician to take measurements and install a portable AC unit until the new one could be installed. Our unit was installed Friday. What a bunch of professionals! The team arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 11:00 am. To our surprise, we received a fruit basket from Advanced Enviroment Solutions the following day thanking us for selecting them! Who does is anymore? Hey competitors... "Kamal diagnosed and completely repaired a failure with our upstairs ac/heat pump that was having high/low stage lockouts. Neither the ac or heat pump was working. He replaced the compressor which had died, replaced the TX valve in the attic, which was installed incorrectly by the original installer, flushed the line and checked for leaks, etc. In a quick turnaround time. Kamal communicated every step of his repair and was very honest and responsive. Everything is now working perfectly. This is a complicated system to repair, and the expertise, timeliness and the VERY fair price Kamal gave to us made it a First Class job. Great work!"

"It was a superb experience. From the visit by Bruce the sales representative to the installation day to the follow-up from Petro, every single person we interacted with was helpful and professional. When Bruce arrived to do the assessment, we spent time going over the heating needs in the house. After a thorough inspection and measurement of the house, we sat down. He showed me a few options, all of which were going to provide good service. I ordered a unit at the end of that meeting. The installation day was just terrific- the entire work crew that showed up were everything I would hope to find: Upbeat, informative, hard-working, focused. The job was finished before end of day as promised. The heater room is now immaculate, with new piping and a new heater. It was like watching a pit crew at a NASCAR race. Everyone had their tasks, they moved carefully but quickly. The materials were all laid out in order, etc. Just a totally professional approach to their work. The crew boss answered any questions I had. The follow-up for a normal inspection of the furnace chimney was scheduled the day after the installation. I’ve gotten calls to insure we are satisfied with the work. Satisfied barely covers it- I am pleased to write this kind of review. "I hired Tom Noland about 22 yrs ago to put a heating and air conditioner system in my house in Nokesville. He did a great job back then. When I moved to Delaplane I contacted Tom and his company again to do some work on my house. I wanted a geothermal heating system in and they were willing to do it, but as Tom explained the new systems out there I would get a better deal going in a different direction. Sean and Matt and all the other guys who have come out to do the install of the new hvac system , hot water heater, pressure tank and generator have been great. They arrive on time they have gone the extra step to make everything go as smoothly as possible. Every guy here has been conscientious about making sure any dust or debris doesnâ t get on my carpets. The hvac system, pressure tank and hot water heater are in. The hvac system works so well that have the temperature raises seven degrees above where I had my other unit at, because it works so efficiently. I would hire them again if I needed some work done. The price is worth it."
