"Jim is such a down to earth, honest, guy. It shines through in everything he does! He is an advocate when fighting with insurance companies to get coverage. He follows through, even when its an issue with a different contractor. He will jump right in and try to remedy whatever the situation is. We met Jim 5 years ago when we moved and needed a bathroom redone. We have had so many things happen since then and he has just been a blessing in my families eyes. I dont know what we would do without him! I recommend this company all the time and would recommend them to anyone searching for services!"

"We were referred to Remodel Works from co-worker. We knew that they had to be a quality operation from that referral alone. We however had no idea the quality and care we would receive from the conception to fruition. Mr. Chihi, the owner, was happy to provide us with his personal cell phone number that he assured us would be answered, and it was. He treated us with the utmost respect. His carpentry skills were tested with several unique situations. No one knows the effort put forth to achieve the end results. No task was too big or too small Certain areas were not visible to us, such as wiring and plumbing so we had to take his word on the actual progress. We feel they never deceived us in what was going on with the jobâÂÂs internal workings. He answered every question and gave us extreme confidence in the overall renovation. Every person that came in the house knew the rules of the residence and they were always followed He never cut corners in cleaning up and he stayed till the dayâÂÂs tasks were completed to his high standard. He and Bryan worked together flawlessly. He was always courteous and made us feel like our interruptions were not a bother on his busy workday. He showed up on time everyday prepared to work immediately. They never stood around drinking coffee and socializing. Their mission was to get us up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible. They took this mission to heart and stayed on schedule. At the end of the workday they cleaned the area up. We added elements to the project as we moved along. He was always professional and was able to accommodate us and not compromise their time frame to start the next job. He made us feel like we were Remodel Works' only client, which of course we knew wasnâÂÂt the case, but we felt like we were their highest priority. Remodel Works was in our home alone and unsupervised part of the time. We never felt uncomfortable trusting them with our pets and property. When they finally packed up the last day it was somewhat bittersweet. However, we know they will be back. We will probably never use another contractor as long as we own our home. He is really that good. And the project result, was better than I ever conceptualized. Applause, applause Mr. Chichi. See you at the exterior addition."

"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Gradys Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Gradys Painting and Plastering & Construction by Service Magic."

"LVR renovated our kitchen into a beautiful new space that completely changed the flow of our house. The entire LVR team was polite and friendly, and the schedule was always easily visible allowing us to constantly know who was coming and when. Dave and Mody made sure to address our questions/concerns (with explanations, resolutions, etc.) and always took our concerns seriously, even coming out to our house together at one point within 24 hours to address our concerns. We have recommended them to neighbors, and we would definitely use them again for future projects."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
