"Isaiah, the service technician from Ray’s, did routine annual maintenance on my central air. My prior contractor retired and I had not had this done in a couple of years. Isaiah was through and answered my questions and concerns. I will be happy to use Ray’s services again."

"They did a FANTASTIC job ! Had them out for a Central AC tune up while he was doing the tune up he found a short in the AC unit which was causing the Fan on the furnace not to go on. On the spot he replace the required part on the AC unit and solved the problem. The technician explained every thing that he was doing he was Very articulate, knowledgeable, and personable. The work was done efficiently and reasonably priced. Very honest and reputable company which is NOT common with HVAC companies. I definitely would hire them again and recommend to anyone needing HVAC work !!! Thank you for the job well done."

"I hired Air Quality HVAC LLC to replace an old Central Air Conditioning unit that hadn't worked in years. Art the owner, showed up on time for the scheduled appointment. He inspected my old A/C unit, and discussed my options for replacement. Art was professional, knowledgeable and personable. He installed the new A/C unit and replaced the damaged duct work. As requested, he also installed a new thermostat. He cleaned up after the installations, and made sure that both the A/C unit and thermostat were working correctly. I'm completely satisfied with Air Quality HVAC, and highly recommend them."

"Excellent service - arrived on time and completed within estimate. Joey was my technician he could not be any more professional or efficient. Valentina handled my emergency call early on a Sunday morning and by the early afternoon I had everything back to normal. Couldn’t be more pleased with the services performed, or the professionals involved. No need to look any further, this is the place to call."

"Amro answered the phone right away and asked if I wanted to schedule the same day or the next day. I scheduled for the next day and Amro arrived on time and completed the repair in record time. The price charged was fair and all charges and repairs were described in depth. I would happily recommend this service provider and will use again when needed."

"I'm picky and can be pain in the neck to be pleased. I want value service that is functional but doesn't cost arms and legs. I did a lot of research, calling, and got quotes from other vendors and decided to go with Cesar's A&C Quality Air. He installed a brand new AC in our single house home. He also came back to repair our heating unit. For the AC installation, his price was reasonable but the service and quality was top notch. He recommended us the appropriate brand that does the same work unlike 99% other vendors who recommend either the most expensive one or the ones sitting on their inventory warehouse. Cesar and his team are thorough and you can tell Cesar is in charge and the work gets done. We also have an old heating unit and I thought it was a quick fix but he came in and spent 1.5 hours with no complaints and explained everything like a professor. I had tons of questions during his each visit and he always answered my questions and provided even further information that I didn't even know I had to know. All aspects - Cesar is trustworthy and I'd recommend him to my family and friends."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Alpine, NJ

Coils work to absorb heat into the refrigerant that flows through them, moving heat from one location to another. For air conditioning, the evaporator coil inside the air handler in your home absorbs heat. It then transfers the heat outside to the condenser coil, where it releases it. The opposite process happens for heat pumps. When the coils get dusty and dirty, it reduces how well these components work.

Skip regular cleanings, and dirt, debris, and mineral deposits will blanket your evaporator and condenser coils. When that happens, the coils can’t shed heat efficiently, so the system works harder and your energy bill climbs. Over time, overheating strains the compressor and can trigger a full breakdown—an avoidable repair that often costs far more than a simple annual cleaning.

AC coil cleaning is an investment that pays for itself in the benefits it provides. Dust‑caked coils force your AC to run longer, so you spend more on electricity and rack up extra wear. A quick professional cleaning restores efficiency, trims monthly bills, and eases strain on expensive parts. Over the long haul, that small yearly fee delays pricy repairs and stretches the unit’s lifespan, making coil cleaning one of the smartest HVAC tune‑ups you can schedule.

Watch for higher electric bills, rooms that stay warm no matter how low you set the thermostat, or an AC system that runs nonstop. Extra humidity and frost on the coils are also red flags. Catching these clues early lets you schedule a quick cleaning before the system overworks itself and triggers an expensive breakdown.

Your AC cleaning technician starts by shutting off the power to the unit and removing the faceplate. Compressed air and a vacuum hose blast away loose debris, followed by a coil-safe, no-rinse cleaner that dissolves stubborn grime. After the solution has soaked in, the professional wipes the fins, reassembles the housing, and restores power, leaving the system ready to cool at peak efficiency.
