"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. The Home Improvement Co. will be first on our list for consideration. Thank you, Matt, Kevin, and Rueben, for a job well done."

"Our porch and patio really look great after they were resurfaced. The team showed up about 11:00 and worked until after 5:00 getting everything done. After they provided care and cleaning tips (haven’t had to use any yet). Rey professional, quality work and we get lots of compliments on the new look."

"Perfect!  Andy is a total pro from start to finish. He promptly returned phone call, came out and discussed work, took measurements, and talked to me at length about what I wanted.  NOT how he thought it should be, or what he wanted to do (C'mon, you know you've dealt with THOSE contractors!), but what I wanted!  He looked at all the pictures I'd pulled and asked questions, offered suggestions when I wasn't sure.  Quote was offered via email, date set for install soon after.  Bookshelves were mostly built in his own workshop, then brought to my home for install. They completed installation in a day and a half.  Finished product is SPECTACULAR!  Even better than I imagined.
I can't say enough good about this company. They were prompt, efficient, friendly and competent; things that are nearly impossible to find anymore.  A+++

"First, let me say that the painting overall was well done. However, they chose to start the painting right before a significant rainstorm. This was not a pop up storm but one that had been forecasted for several days. The paint ran on the gutters, and from the trim onto our windows (especially in the back of the house) and onto our back porch. There are a few Windows where we are having trouble getting the paint off. When we expressed our surprise that they would have begun painting right before the storm, we were told that the "rain came in quickly." Really poor planning and they never apologized."

"We replaced wood windows with an almond color vinyl window and I cannot believe how much the windows improved the appearance of our home. The house looks newer and brighter. Several windows on our home had broken seals and after getting two estimates for window replacements from other companies, I was very confused and frustrated. Federal Windows was the 3rd company I called for an estimate and Garry was straight forward and honest with me and answered all my questions. The night before work was scheduled to begin, I realized I had not asked what I should do to get ready for the guys to start work the next morning. I e-mailed Garry and he told me not to worry about a thing and that the guys would take care of it. And he was true to his word. They showed up right on time, were very careful to place tarps on the floors. They were courteous, very quiet, and didn't leave a trace of dirt or mess. "Due to a hailstorm in Spring 2017, the vinyl siding of our home had been damaged and had been recommended for full replacement by our insurance. For about a year, we contemplated between the options of replacing the siding with vinyl or upgrading to James Hardie siding, the latter being twice the insurance proceeds. Re-side was one of the local contractors listed on the James Hardie website as an approved installer for this type of siding. The owner, David Mills explained in great detail the features of JH siding, the need to replace some of the house trim to boral and how the entire project would proceed from start to finish. From the first time we met him, David came across as a reliable and trustworthy individual and made us feel comfortable in handling a complex and expensive job such as this. The whole process took approximately 10 work days. His team removed and replaced our old vinyl siding with James Hardie plank, added new boral trim and exhaust vents, repainted all the exterior trim, garage door and added new gutters and downspouts. The crew was extremely professional and courteous and did an excellent job. The end result looks fantastic and was worth the extra money. I would highly recommend this company for the high quality of their work and professionalism."
