"I was going through old receipts and I saw one from Langhorne in 2003 (before I joined Angie's List) and thought I'd comment on what a great job Langhorne did. After more than a dozen years, the concrete driveway looks new.

"I called Waterproofing Inc on a Wednesday and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for Saturday. Steve promptly came at the scheduled time and we reviewed the situation in my basement. I told him of my goal to have a finished DRY basement. He looked at my existing pump and drain. He suggested that I could apply (or have applied) plastic sheeting to the walls to help with the seepage problem. However, he doesn't do that type of work. He also asked me what I thought the problem was with the moisture problem. He suggested that he could extend the current waterproofing system along the entire back wall and gave me a written estimate for that work. The reason that I rated him a B and said I would hire him was because I didn't feel confident in his diagnosis of the root cause of the water problem and his proposed solution to address the issue so that my basement could be dry. I am looking for a one stop shop with a solution driven individual who comes in as a problem solver. I just didn't get that from Steve. He didn't even look (or ask to look) outside the house to see how the water comes off the back of the house where the problem is. I'm guess if I just wanted someone to drill up the concrete and put a drain in, he would be fine because his price was reasonable for that work. But I'm looking for a holistic solution provider who will address all issues with the most effective and efficient techniques to keep my basement dry. I just wouldn't hire him for that role."

"When they cut my lawn it looked very nice. I opted for the every 2nd week or 10 day option forgot which one. When they cut my lawn was a mystery. They did respond to my requests quickly and adjusted the payments accordingly. They were very responsive to my requests. I opted for next year to do my own yard.

"If you need to replace your underground oil tank, then you're freaking out about the expense and possible catastrophic complications. So do yourself a favor and call Willard. This wonderful family company makes everything easy.
Our very positive experience started with the initial visit by Josh. Then company owner Billy Willard answered all our many questions. Considering the options, we decided to purchase a Roth tank. Not just more compact than other brands, it also has a 30-year warranty. Willard is the only company in Virginia certified to install Roths.
Our work was scheduled quickly. Willard called Miss Utility and also our county -- we didn't have to do a thing. The Roth tank fit neatly into our garage and Billy and his crew took great care with every detail of its complicated installation. The removal of our underground tank went really well too, even though the tank turned out to be quite deep. Frank and Josh worked very carefully to expose but not damage the old tank, and to transfer oil into the new tank. Then the old tank was prepared so the residual oil could be pumped for recycling. We hadn't even realized this step would take place, because Willard had made all the arrangements. Next the tank was lifted and soil samples were taken. Then, using a truckload of fill Willard supplied as well as the excavated soil, the enormous hole was filled, carefully graded and sown with grass seed.
You can imagine how many heavy vehicles were in motion to accomplish all this, yet there was not the slightest damage to our fence, landscaping, driveway or house.
Meanwhile, Tim was connecting the new Roth tank to our furnace, working with ingenuity around the maze of ducting. pipes and wires in our basement. He wasn't satisfied until he was sure the connection was perfect.
We thought the entire crew was awesome, and that opinion was validated when the county fire inspector approved everything they'd done. The Willards and Josh Delaney were not just expert, they were really friendly and considerate. It was a pleasure to have them around, They turned what had been a huge nightmare into a perfectly executed solution.

"I always had water problems in my yard. There are a very few companies that specialize in drainage work. I had Andrew the owner of Classic Drainage come out. He is very conscientious and very pleasant. He tries to make the most economical choices for you. He is very flexible. I had a lot of problems with my yard. So, I had to keep having them come out and he really did respond. It is not like he does a job and then takes off. He is going to be coming back in the spring. He is not inexpensive in my books. He can afford to be pricey because there are not so many people who do this, but he is a little less expensive than another company. The initial job of attaching the downspouts to the pipes that ran underground and to trench those to the storm drain cost me $2500. So, I thought that it was a little pricey for doing that, but he did a good job. I was trying to get one of the pipes that had to do with the sump pump at the front of the house. However it didn?t work because there was too much water going to another pump and was causing ice in the street. So that?s when we called our plumber back to redirect it to the back of the house to the storm drain. So it ended up costing me more money. It was a very small job when he came out to redirect the sump pump and he charged me $225 for the outside job. He basically had to put a fitting on the pipe to connect it to the pipe on the ground with the downspouts. So $225 is his minimum for a small job and he said it is going to be $2500 for a day?s work. He actually didn?t raise the price when the one day job became a two day job because it rained. He did the job during the winter when it was really dry and it hasn?t been a while. I have to see exactly what happens to my yard once it rains. He is going to come out to do a little more work like getting rid of some bushes and grinding up the stumps for me. He was punctual. He is out on every job. It is a small family business and he has two helpers. He is very professional and tells you exactly what he is going to do. If there are any problems, he is very good about coming back to correct it. So, I think that is very important in that kind of work. I would use his services again."

"I chose RDM Landscaping out of the 4 contractors I had bid on the job. Ray was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what they would do very well. He left me with the impression that they would do a quality job and not cut any corners which is why I chose RDM over a couple lower priced bids. Work is completed now and I am very pleased with the quality and appearance of the steps, railing, and wall. Ray is a really nice guy, helpful, very knowledgeable about his business, explains things well, and they do good work. The one negative of the experience was that at one point Ray did not return my texts for 3 days and another time for 2 days. It was raining almost every day which was delaying the project and I requested updates. I read a couple other reviews from people who had a hard time getting in touch with Ray so I got a bit worried. In the end, when the weather got better, they came and completed the job. I spoke to Ray frankly about the need to improve his responsiveness because it could really hurt his otherwise great business. I hope they improve in this area. On the plus side, besides the well done finished project, Ray helped out with a couple small things that were outside the scope of work which I greatly appreciated. They filled a gap on the bottom of our concrete front porch and he also noticed that a corner on the side of our house where the chimney jutted out was collecting water so they added some concrete to divert the water. After power washing the new steps they also power washed the back concrete patio. Overall, I am happy with my choice and I have already hired RDM again to do some tree trimming."

"They responded quickly and fixed the pipe. The work was fine but a little expensive. My only reservation was price, but it has been a while, so I don't feel I can answer other questions about the company with a lot of confidence."
