"I was experiencing some issues with my original garage door opener (over 24 years old) and remotes. I contacted Jose and his team and they came out to see what the issue was. They suggested instead of fixing the current one because of age, that I should get a new opener. We scheduled the work to be done the following morning. Jose came and had the new opener installed within an hour and half. He let me know the options for the different openers and what each level added in options. I chose the basic opener option, which included wifi/an app to use to open/close the door in addition to a car remote and wall device. He did a fantastic job! I have used Family Prestige Garage Doors in the past for garage door tune-ups and also a garage door replacement. They are a pleasure to work with and have fair and honest pricing. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future."

"I used Andrew's Garage Door Repair.  The last time I used them it was not satisfactory.  They came in to look at the garage door and said he was going to replace the back motor.  That process took about 4 weeks.  They came out three times and the first two times were good.  The reason I signed up to Angie's List is because they give honest feedback.  He said he would be back in three days and he wasn't.  He did fix it finally.  I had to make a lot of phone calls and emails and reminders.  I didn't understand that, I mean, I paid him the money he was asking for.  So he came and he fixed it and it is working fine.  They were here April of 2016.  It cost $500."

Having used this company in the past to install garage door opener & repair my springs, I was pleased to have them to reach back out to - this time for a replacement keypad opener. It was super super simple to schedule; the technician showed up on time and completed the job and short order and a good price. he then recommended that I replace the seal along the bottom and put some weatherstripping on the perimeter of the door; so they came back shortly after to do that work. Overall very pleased with the service of the scheduling team and both technicians. Highly recommended and will be back the next time I need this type of work done!"

"I've used Academy multiple times over the years (garage door install) and have never been disappointing. Came out the next day after I called (would have come out that day but my schedule wasn't open) when it sounded like my motor was laboring- once the weather turned cold, it struggled to lift and stopped about halfway. Mario came out - he was great - didn't try to sell me anything like a new part or motor, but said I just needed to grease the trolley area and side tracks and spring (which he also tightened). Honest and gave me good advice for preventing this issue (if anyone reading this has similar issues, remember to use grease and wd-40 once a year or when the track is dry to save you a repair visit). Used the mailer $20 coupon which is always available. Recommend them very highly."

"We recently bought a house with a detached garage that we didn't pay much attention to before closing. After the big day, I finally go into the garage to discover that not only was the door off the track (which we knew) but one of the springs was completely broken and mangled and one of the rails was detached from the wall. I looked up Beltway Garage Doors on Angie's List on Saturday afternoon. To my surprise, they had a tech who might be able to come that very day to check out the door. Unfortunately, he got stuck at an earlier job and couldn't make it before the end of the day. We rescheduled for the next week. On Monday morning the tech calls and asks if we could meet to look at the door. Of course I was at work so I couldn't get there. Then he asks if there was a way for him to get in the garage to see the door. Fortunately, there is a back door to the garage and he was able to access it and call me back with an estimate. I thought the price was a bit high, but we are renovating an entire house and I didn't have time to haggle one more deal so I gave the tech, Brett, the okay to do the job. I also asked that he install a garage door opener that I had bought from Sears, but they do not install other company's products due to "warranty issues". Luckily for me, his truck was stocked with a 1/2 HP Liftmaster opener that his company sells and he hooked that up for me. When I got home I went straight to the garage to check out the repaired door...it looked, sounded and operated great. I couldn't believe that old door could work so smoothly. I guess it was money well spent after all. I never did meet Brett, but I was glad he was able to fix our door."

"All he did was come in and look at it and said, ?you have cheap doors!? ?You need better doors and you need a better system for closing!? It was useless basically! He oiled the track at the top, because it was noisy. We expected that maybe there would be the possibility to changing some parts.

We had no idea that because we had the builders grade garage doors & apparently the least expensive tracking. That nothing that he could have done would have made any difference, except we could have paid $1,200 or more to get a whole new system. Well, that wasn?t what we paid for really. He did say he would oil a couple of parts and maybe it will help. It didn?t because everything is not very good.  
He was responsive. I think he was on time. He was professional. I understand what the issue is, we would have to get more estimates."
