Found out that Decks Unlimited was the subcontractor for one of the big box companies. I have a familiarity with residential construction, and unlike other companies, they didn't try to BS me. Again, unlike others, did not try to up sell me. L Very pleased with their work. They worked well within my HOA constraints. Just had an issue with clean up after the work was done, but I honestly believe it was because of weather, which put them behind schedule on other jobs. "Paige came over our home for estimates on time. That's a good part. He sent me a quote as promised but the price is not competitive at all. Also, Paige did not give me clear answers when I asked him for listing break-down items and each price in the quote so I could not get to know what costs how much exactly. I did not like the way the quote format as well as the total price. I wanted the vertical posts of our deck to be wrapped with the Trex composite wood (so I won't have to paint every year) but he tried pushing me so hard not to go in the direction and insisted I should just paint them with stain and kept telling me that the stain would last 8 to 10 years without re-painting because it would cost huge according to the quote. But some other companies (not only one company) gave me much cheaper price by a few thousands of dollars. Now I know why he tried convincing me so hard not to go for the option. This company sent me a list of references via email. It contains names, phone numbers and addresses of the past customers that I could contact to. I'm a bit surprised that the list has that much detailed contact info. I assume they did agree to have their information listed for references. But I do highly suggest that you go through the contract document and make sure you know what you agreed on before signing the paper if you hire this company."
