"Farrell Plumbing â Simply the Best! A slab leak, under my master bath, tiled shower floor, meant a messy and expensive repair. I called several plumbing companies in my area and not one could compete with the customer service, expertise, options for repair, [all with a â laymanâ sâ conversation to clearly understand what this entails] that Farrell Plumbing provided. Eric was able to immediately come by to provide an estimate and after reviewing the leak inspection report and looking over firsthand where the issue was he provided an estimate and an understanding of what needed to be done to stop the leak and do the repair. Not gonna lie, this is an expensive fix, but the Farrell Plumbing quote was considerably less than two other quotes other plumbing businesses would only make over the phone. My home was built in 1979 making the pipes 44 years old and with our Florida hard water flowing through them all that time. Eric walked me through my question about the cost of a complete retro fit of new pipe throughout the house as I was concerned about other slab leaks beginning. Based on that conversation I decided to do the full replacement of new pipe which was more cost effective over the life of my home and would remove the possibility of future slab leaks requiring the tearing up of flooring. Farrell Pluming has superb customer service and responds to immediate texts and calls and follows up with when their techs are on the way with a photo and name of who will arrive at your door. Technicians, Kyle, Levi, Eric, Adam, Elijah, and Shane spent one and half days doing this complete retrofit, much of the work in a hot attic in Florida heat. It was a pleasure seeing how cohesive they work together and all were very mindful of my home and cleaned up after themselves throughout the retro fit. They even installed the two new shower heads, as a courtesy, that I had purchased for the two bathrooms. Let me share that Farrell Plumbing is a true family business and boy do they love dogs. My little girl, Gynness, followed them around for belly rubs and they were happy to oblige her. I cannot say enough about this team of men who did the install, polite, efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and respectful so I am calling them all out again. "I purchased my home in Hillsborough County, and noticed that hard water was a problem in this area.  I could see the effects of hard water on the glass shower doors, which I continually had to clean with CLR.  I was also concerned about the quality of the water being used on my appliances (washer, dishwasher, etc).  I looked at the purchase and installation of a water heater as an additional insurance policy on my home and appliances.
Before the installation, I spoke with both Dan and Tim about water softeners.  Dan stopped by my home to give me an estimate on the water softener.  Although the price seemed high ($1,500) initially, I found that it was actually very reasonable when compared to the prices of other companies on Angie's List.  D&C also had excellent reviews on Angie's List, and were located close to where my home is.
I worked from home on the day of the installation.  Dan, Tim, and another employee arrived on time, and installed the water softener in a few hours.  They were very helpful in explaining how the softener worked, answered all of my questions, and finished the installation in a timely manner.
After the installation, I immediately noticed a positive change to the quality of my water, especially when taking a shower.  The water is much cleaner, and no longer leaves any residue on the shower doors.  I suspect that my appliances are also running much better.  For example, I can do my laundry with much less detergent because the water is of a much higher quality.
D&C also put quite a bit of salt into the softener when they installed it.  I did not have to add any salt to the softener for the first month.  The softener works very efficiently, and requires very little salt to be added.
Finally, Dan and Tim were very helpful in responding to my follow-up questions.  They are both very knowledgable and experienced, and I would not hesitate to recommend D&C to anyone looking to have a water softener installed at their home.

"This was a somewhat challenging job from the start in that two 40 circuits had to be pulled from our breaker box (which was already full) to a central location in our house on the second floor (through the truss work). The electrical work had to be choreographed with the plumbers who installed the tankless water heaters. Jeremy did an outstanding job. Due to the nature of the job it required several trips to our home, but the finished product looks very nice. I cannot express how comforting it is to work with a punctual, conscientious, and competent service technician."
