My daughter had to go to Home Depot and purchase a new toilet, without any advice from the plumber on which one to get because he would not return her calls. She wound up purchasing a toilet from a brand the plumber does not like, so he informed us he would not offer any guarantees for his installation. Well since I wasn't closing right away I did not want to put in a thermostat and have to gank it back out if I backed out so he was very nice and said if I closed on the property they would install the thermostat the next time they were in the neighborhood and I was able to let them in. He stuck to his word 3 months later I called him up and he sent someone out to install my ac thermostat for free. These guys have my business as long as I own a ac unit and will get a referal any time someone asks me for a good ac company. On time and very courteous people.

"We found Amer with a Big Deal on Angies List.  The price was for maybe an hours worth of work.  They showed up on time, replaced the outdoor faucet (spigot?) which was leaking (spraying) really bad. They did something else for us (which I can't recall). 
Then my third request was to get his thoughts on what to do with a single lever shower control that had Hot and Cold backwards.  Hot was cold and cold was hot.  He looked at the age and model of shower level etc.  Then said yes he could take it apart.  It was probably a mixer valve (or something like) and try to flip the mixer it over.  However, given the age (<13yrs old) and hard water... chances are good that it may break in the process.  If it did break then that may cost a bit more.  So he'd be happy to do it of course, or if there aren't any other problem with it (no leaking etc.) then I might want to wait until the next time it needs to be worked on / replaced.  But it was my choice.
I appreciated his honesty and giving me options rather than just plowing forward and possibly running up the bill.  I think this shows some integrity, professionalism and caring about the customer.

He and his son (it is a family business) were here less than 2 hours later and had everything fixed up within 2 hours after that. Al is clearly knowledgeable. He is also personable and charming. I have more work that needs to be done and will be hiring him again for that."
